Overall it was a good take out experience. The food was delicious and the portion well sized. I asked to remove the pork from my dish which they agreed but were not willing to replace it with anything else so that disappointed me and they barely put any shrimp. I got the Manila and I’d recommend trying it if you wish to go to this spot.

Their Havana is consistently delicious. Quite a few good combinations on this dish, such as the chipotle ginger tofu

I've been here many times and I love the intimacy of this place. You can sit right next to the kitchen and watch them cook your meal! Somewhat romantic. They also have quite a variety of food here with unique dishes. The prices are somewhat high but the food is delicious. Great, small little place for a nice dinner. I ordered what I normally order which was an ahi tuna noodle dish (Lanzhou, $19) and rice noodles with prawns, chicken, and Chinese sausage (Manila, $12.50). Both were delicious (although a tad salty). And the server was friendly and polite.

A cozy Asian-fusion/international kitchen that is literally a kitchen with a few tables + counter. I've had the brunch on the Church location and it has a similar, small but cozy vibe. This location only had lunch and dinner and quite different hours. I had the Lanzhou, which was Ahi tuna seared with garlic noodles. There was some ginger and other spices as well. The tuna was seasoned quite well and had nice texture and seared almost perfectly. The noodles were also cooked well and not overly salty. My only complaint would be the food was piping hot temperature wise. I also tried a bit of the coconut curry and it was quite creamy, but still had good Southeast Asian flavors. I think this dish did burn my tongue. Besides the food being too hot (and the restaurant being warm inside too), this place has a nice variety of dishes from vegetarian to meat and features a lot of cool flavor mixes from around the world. Come here for a nice 1-on-1 dinner.

I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. This is 1.5 blocks from our home and is a great dinner option for ucsf and local residents. They have some staples on the menu and change out some entrees seasonally. Global cuisine in a cozy setting, and if you sit at the bar you can watch the skilled chefs prepare the meals. A very special and underrated place.

I discovered this place after looking for a lunch spot after weekend study sessions at the UCSF library. I now find myself coming to the library just so I can eat at Pomelo! The food is so incredibly fresh and flavorful, with unique dishes you won't find often in the city. Highlights for me are the Cuban Fried Rice, the Masantol (a zesty Filipino tofu dish), and adding the seared Ahi Tuna to any of the other entrees on the menu. The atmosphere is intimate, and this place is equally good for a date, or even solo dinner/lunch at the counter as you watch your food freshly prepared in front of you.

This is a small little cafe with a great asian/california fusion menu. The Solo is a delicious bit of noodle soup heaven. When I am starting to feel under the weather this is the best remedy. Their curry is also very flavorful. Great food and nice little spot to grab lunch.

A very nice comfortable little place with great Asian fusion food. Everything was very delicious. When we asked for a bit of fresh basil, they brought it right away. I especially recommend the Ulsan seafood pancake and the seared ahi tuna.

One of the best if not the best asian fusion restaurant I have been to. We tried the Manila and the Messina. I am part Filipino and the Manila was so good! I guess you could call this a "hole in the wall." This is a very tiny restaurant though. The tiniest I've ever seen, so not good for groups unless you get there early.

Small neighborhood restaurant with global food. I have been here twice and both times loved the food. The service is good too. Open kitchen. Good wine list.

I can really only speak for the Havana because once I discovered it, it's all that I've ordered since. It's a little pricey, but if you split it with someone and pair it with some homemade food or leftovers, it's perfect. And sooo delicious.

Tiny place but packed with efficiency and delicous food. The salad with soft cubes of bread was delicious. The grilled tiny carrots were yummy. Entrees were on the salty side. Noodles and thai curry. Just ok.
