Being a 1st timer to San Francisco I talked to a local about some places to go within walking distance. He mentioned the Dog Patch Saloon was a casual, friendly and reasonable establishment with nice restaurants in the area. It was everything he said it was, I'm not a big city person but I loved it...

I haven't been there in a looong time since prior the remodel, but the Dogpatch Saloon has to be one of my favorite bars in the Dogpatch, the beer selection is great. I used to come there to have a beer and chat with Will :) such a chill bar to have a beer!

Great little bar! Great vibe. I had more than a few G+Ts and a gin drink called "Kitten With A Whip" that was a real knockout. Bartender was awesome too!

This is the cutest bar! It has a lot of natural light from the windows that wrap around both sides of the building that face the corner. The antique details in the woodwork and fixtures brings a warmth to the place. The liquor bottles are beautifully displayed to catch even more light and create a well stocked bar. They always seem to have new exotic craft beers on tap. It's my co-worker's choice for after work drinks.

Dogpatch Saloon is the example in the dictionary provided for the definition of a neighborhood dive bar. It's been around for over 100 years (established 1912) and still going strong. No food here, just a solid beer and spirits selection and bartenders who know what they're about. Wednesday trivia nights, for those in the know.

Fantastic neighborhood pub in Dogpatch. Service is spectacular. The minute you walk in and sit down, it feels like you’re part of a family.

Yes, yes and yes. Good tequila selection. Great menu mixed drinks. Bartenders that have knowledge of mixed drinks and a spacious feel. It is a favorite place to take friends. Patrons seem cool and friendly too. It just feel good and isn't too loud. I def recommend.

Love the vibe. They always give my dog Stormy a biscuit. The bartenders are very friendly and it's a cool place to chill or watch sports. Thanks Gabe and Jeff!

Such a great place. It's exactly what the name states it is, a typical saloon from the early 1900s. The bartender was great and the place I'd fantastic. It's great for sitting around and drinking. The only thing that I disliked is that the shots for the drinks are measured. Bars make a very healthy profit and for owners to do this is a huge turn off (well for me it is).

This is my dog’s favorite bar. He takes us there at least once a week. Great place to relax after a long day playing with friends at daycare.
