It's a great place to take a rest, and eat breakfast and lunch!! Their pastries are nice, and sandwiches are tasty. Of course their coffee is also nice because of Peet's. I don't like most cafes in SF because they're so cold inside. But here is okay. I can stay here without a jacket. Staffs are so friendly too!

I eat here frequently because it's a simple sandwich, the quality is consistent enough, and I can order using an iPad so I don't have to talk with anyone. The space has lots of sitting with natural lighting so I can comfortably and be anti-social. I wouldn't eat here unless I worked in the area.

I like their Turkey & Cheese croissant. Yum!! THANK YOU for the non ham option! Nice quick stop on my way to Civic Ctr station so thankful that the cafe opens early. Have always had pretty good customer service from staff thus far.

It's a busy junction, so makes for a great meeting point and hangout place more so than some of the other Starbucks. We used to come here for some of the work-related discussions as well. Generally good coffee, good food and good service - but could get late at times.

Good little cafe in downtown San Francisco. The coffee is very good, and I had a tasty breakfast sandwich that, aside from a slight over abundance of ground pepper, was a delight of ham, cheese and egg on ciabatta. Next time I'm downtown for work I'll definitely be popping in here, if only to try some of their lunch options, which also look very tasty. If you have a chance, also give their soups a try. Clean environment and very friendly service.

Surprisingly good coffee. Unlike Starbucks, their americanos is aromatic and smooth. Obviously this cafe is your everyday breakfast muffin and coffee to go place but the quality of food and beverage exceeds most other cafes in the area in my opinion. Nice servers.

LOVE LOVE ALL SPECIALITIES their cookies and their sandwiches. I always seem to make myself back to Specialities when I don't know what to eat. A little pricey my lunch of a sandwich on a fresh baked croissant and two cookies for the road equal about $17.00. The only thing I don't like about this location is they ask me if I want my croissant toasted and I say yes and it never is. Had to remove a star 🌟

Specialty's is awesome for breakfast or lunch. I love stopping by in the morning for a great cup of coffee (they serve Intelligentsia) and a muffin. I find myself ordering online often for lunch. It's so convenient to place your order online (via computer or smart phone) and pick it up 15 minutes later (or whatever time you state). It definitely gets busy during the lunch hour if you decide to wait in line or eat in the restaurant. Don't forget to get one of their famous cookies!

Specialty's is great for a quick lunch. They have a good variety of salads and sandwiches. I especially love the thai crunch salad and peanut butter/apple sandwich. Whatever you do, do NOT leave without trying a semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie. The edges are perfectly crisp, the middle is dense and chewy, and they use high quality chocolate chunks. The milk chocolate can sometimes be too sweet so that's why I stick to semi-sweet. They constantly bake throughout the day so the cookies are often fresh out of the oven with the chocolate still melty! It's easily one of the best things I've ever had.
