Yum! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Love the lights and art and selection of sake. Love the sushi! My favorite was the tuna roll withDrunken Whale sake mmmmmm
Why have I not been here before. I use to go to Van Ness for sushi. All the Van Ness spots are gone. The places on Polk are all Faux Sushi. This may be one of the last old school SF restaurants. I love it. Best yet it is Japanese Sushi in the land of Knox Off Korean and Chinese Sushi.
Fun karaoke bar! They have little rooms for each group, and a large variety of songs. It's not a 5 because sometimes on of our microphones stopped working, and also the iPad
Great place. Tons of private karaoke rooms. Good food and cool artwork. The hostess took special care. She was very nice.

If you're looking for a Japanese-style karaoke room this place has what you're looking for! You can book a private room at a reasonable price and order both food and drinks to the room (the service was great). Only downside was that room is a bit light due to bright lights in the hallway and poor curtains. The "happy hour" in weekdays is especially good value for your money.
Been there twice for karaoke, food, and wine. The karaoke is great - different sized rooms based on party size. Sound is good, there are fans, and the song selection is outstanding.
We ordered wine and sushi both times. The sushi is solid - not fantastic, but pretty decent. The wine selection is not great and the markup is horrific! I'm used to double the price of retail, but this is more like quadruple. I think they are trying to discourage over-drinking. Also, we ordered the sparkling wine that was on the menu but got a substitute that was not as good with no warning. That would have been nice to know as I would have gone a different, probably more expensive route had I known.
The service is quick and efficient. Tips are included in the room price. I'd go back to eat as well as karaoke, but will be more careful when ordering. Don't see myself going there as just a restaurant.
Good service. Decent sushi. The sushi 1161 post with seared salmon is yummy, if a little sour.

Karaoke was really great here. The song selection was very extensive, they had artists that I was pleasantly surprised to see and it seemed very up to date. The peach sake we got was really good too. I just wish the rooms had curtains! It's annoying to have people be able to look into your room, especially because then guys saw that we were all girls and started trying to talk to us.
