Mateo's Taqueria - San Francisco - Photo album

We were exploring the area and decided Mexican food would be great for lunch. My husband found this place nearby and we walked in out of the rain. We barely beat the lunch rush when we placed our order. Took us a little but to decide but after asking the staff a couple questions we decided. Carnita
Quick and delicious! Kinda pricey if you get all the fixin's but the burrito can be stretched into two meals if you're careful with the foil they wrap it in
DEFINITELY A FIVE STAR THE FOOD IS AMAZING AND THE SERVICE EXCELLENT ITS A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE ONCE YOU TASTE THE FOOD....HEAVEN ON EACH BITE THE TUNA TACOS SOOOOOOO RICOS
Really good food - most of it is suitable for gluten intolerant people, a great plus!
Stopped in randomly and so glad we did! The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon so we were worried it wouldn't be good but they were cranking through online orders. The tacos were SO good and salsa was yummy. Chips weren't great but honestly delicious tacos were worth sacrifice chip quality.
Delicious healthy food, spacious seating, usually not too noisy and large tables for a group. It may not be "authentic" but it is very tasty, quite healthy (if you choose the healthier fish or veggie options at least), the best tortilla chips I have had anywhere and fast service (order at the count
Came here for a buritto based on a recommendation from a friend. A wee bit pricey but the chicken burrito was quite tasty. They sadly don't have any fresh jalapeños (I love adding them to burritos!) but their hot sauce more than made up for it. It was delicious and pleasantly spicy. Would go back ag
Really good burritos, and good vegetation options. They don't just pile on the cheese and sour cream for their veggie burritos like most places do to try and make up for it. Their veggie burritos have amazing balanced flavors and stand well on their own accord.
Wow this place has huge servings. I ordered a couple carne asada tacos and Bam they could be five huge tacos easily. Cool space, nice folks and nice beer selection. I wish they had a few beers on draft, but it's ok. Also, the bathrooms are super clean. Bathrooms really do make the place. This place
The burrito I got was filling. Good service. Not a ton of different salsa options. Quick and easy, plus they accept credit cards which not all Mexican restaurants in the mission can say.
I loved Mateo's Taqueria. All the people working there were so friendly! Unlike many taquerias, Mateo's was clean, bright and airy. My carnitas and plantain burrito was super super tasty! Check out the medium salsa as well!
Super yummy tacos with fresh ingredients. I had the mission and the ahi tacos. The mission taco had a few big prawns and the ahi tuna also had a good deal of nicely seared chunks of tuna. The toppings, which I couldn't quite tell what was what since they all kinda blended together, complemented the
orange sauce is very spicy. clean spot, friendly staff, and better priced than overhyped papalote. havent had a bad thing on the menu yet. fish burrito is subpar to el metate but the meat and shrimp are quite solid.
Love their tacos here, especially their “la mission” taco. Their burritos are very good too, have had their carne asasa one. Quesadilla was ok, but I don’t like quesadillas. Their service is great, and love the vibrant decor
Loved the costumer service my mom was happy with the food All good here
Very nice horchata. The tacos are nice, but fairly Americanized.
