Summary: a high end Indian restaurant experience with a counter service prices.
What a great discovery! Beautiful and clean space. The chef is very passionate about his work. The food felt very high quality, great service and attention too. The food tastes great and looks beautiful. I have been looking for a good new Indian restaurant for so long. Really exceeds the expectations on many fronts. Also a great Bollywood playlist, keep up the great work!
Top notch customer service! Almost didn’t go because of how the reservation charge was worded. Glad we went in and there was no wait for a table. If you like Indian food and normally share a few plates, opt for the lower tables, not high chair ones. Had so much food that was over flowing and spices were just right to hit all the taste buds! Only wish they would’ve had a soup, then this would’ve been a solid 5 star restaurant for us.
The best Indian restaurant I have visited so far in Bay Area. Though their menu is simple, the presentation, ambience, service, price are beyond just simple. I and my friends drove from Sunnyvale to San Francisco and though it was late in the night there was zero hesitation to accept and serve us. Totally satisfied!
One of the most underrated Indian restaurants in San Francisco. This is a hidden gem. The interior, ambiance, presentation, service, and food is 10/10. I would definitely recommend this restaurant above the others in San Francisco.
Paneer and Kale Kofta - 10/10 - Tasted very fresh and was the perfect amount of gravy to kofta. Often times, koftas are soaked in gravy which makes it soggy so I appreciated how this was presented.
Dal Makhni - 8/10 - A little on the creamier side and heavy but good in small doses.
Garlic Naan and Onion Kulcha - 7/10 - No complaints here. Bread was good.
Carrot Halwa - 9/10 - Perfect amount of sweet and the brittle was a great touch. Highly recommend.
Will be back here again!
One of the best Indian restaurants in San Francisco. It was a unique variety of taste that she wouldn’t see anywhere else. Some of the dishes that we absolutely loved was their fried chicken, vegetable korma, chili cheese garlic naan, and thier kofta.
Some things that we would not recommend ordering would be their samosas as they were kind of just OK.
I ordered their At Home Meal Kit and loved it!! The food was as fresh and tasty as the dine-in. I could mix and match easily and enjoy it in different ways to my liking. It was delivered all the way to RWC on time. The portion was quite large and we made 3 meals out of it.
I ordered two vegetables roasted cauliflower/artichoke/peppers and roasted tofu/onion to be mixed with the korma sauce and enjoyed it as a mix veg korma, tofu korma and roasted veggies by themselves. Also ordered manchurian sauce and forgot to order pakora to go with it.. but it goes great with brown rice or noodles. Hubby is looking forward to getting chicken, lamb and fish and I want to get the steamed millet next :)
Oh and don't forget to order the side of Mumbai Trail Mix, it goes great with drinks and salads!
This place rocks. Very very high quality food that is some of the best Indian food in the city in a casual environment. Generous portions. Also great, fast service. Rare to be able to check all of those boxes AND be affordable in SF.
We came in in the afternoon and was welcomed with warm ness. We ordered vegetarian korma and Baryiani, both were fantastic. Their hot sauce is a killer!! Love it so much - would definitely come back.
We ordered the ribs, lamb korma, paneer curry, garlic naan, eggplant side dish, and saffron rice. The eggplant is actually my favorite - they should make it a main dish 😂😂😂 so good with rice
I don't go out for Indian food much but friends took me here for Diwali. What a treat. Really fresh food and slow cooked dal. The meats and fish were super tender. I'll take my family when the come to town. Loved the chicken makhani, dahi poori, and steamed fish. They also have a surprisingly good and diverse wine list (and plenty of good beer)
