Got a double espresso which was pretty aromatic. And got a big loaf of bread, vegan, I believe. Turned out it’s very Germany kind of rustic bread, and goes so well with my own homemade very German kind of bacon!
I'm no longer in the same neighborhood so I don't get to enjoy their yummy sandwiches as often as I used to but, trust me, they are good! Yesterday I had a chance to stop by the not-so-new storefront in the Mission to grab a country loaf - holy cow the texture on that loaf was divine! Delicious and
Best bread in town! ✨ I visit twice per week for the 4-grain sourdough. It's amazing. I have it with breakfast every day. It stays fresh and doesn't go stale after several days. Highly recommend! 🌿
I am not a sandwich person but I feel inspired by a good sandwich: high quality toasted bread, well seasoned fillings, and affordable price. Oh and melted cheese is the plus. Fox and Lion Bread fit this criteria. I ordered tuna melt so it is over $10 but most sandwiches is still under 10 dollars. Th
Nice place with great sourdough bread & pastries (I am German and I was so so NOT disappointed but surprised how good it was)
With friendly staff :)
Fox and Lion is a wonderful, affordable neighborhood spot for lunch or a snack. Their sandwiches are filling and flavorful and I love that they have options that can satisfy everyone -- veggie, vegan, and omnivorous! Strong house coffee too!
We decided to check this place out because of Yelp! Its literally a small cute little place. I ordered a lox bagel and my boyfriend got a grilled cheese with ham. We both took it togo and omg it was so good!! We were both very happy with what we got. The bagel and bread tasted so good. I would defin
Really good bread, and the sandwiches are both delicious and price-accessible. Looking forward to trying the pizza and pastries!!
So excited to see this neighborhood establishment finally opening its doors! Been inside a couple times now and appreciate the friendly staff and overall aesthetic vibe.
Freshly baked goods and good sandwiches with the availability to add options such as artichokes, pickles, tomatoes, avocado, etc. The place is a bit hard to spot. Well worth a visit, the cafe is small, but has a very chill decor.
Love their vegan pastry options (artichoke potato onion roll, quince roll and cinnamon rolls) - they’re fresh, fluffy, and flavorful and can’t wait to try the pizza too!
So glad I finally made it back to the Thursday Mission Community Farmer's Market and bought their bread! It is now a favorite of ours. There was a little glitch a few weeks back when Xan, the owner and baker had to get used to a new oven but it was just a one time thing and having played with baking
Newish place is a total winner! Delicious and unique sandwiches bagels and pastries, good coffee, nice people and very reasonable prices for the mission.
Delicious raisin bread! Fresh and warm. Love the new location.
This place has the best coffee!!! The food is high quality and a great price. I love the Mary's sandwich and the salad with house vinaigrette. Don't forget to take home some pastries and bread that was made that morning! Definitely going back.
Legit the best cinnamon rolls I’ve had in San Francisco after 10 years here
Had the lox bagel. It was perfection! The avacado toast was good as well but needed a bit more flavor. Good value. The Lox was my favorite!
So glad Fox and Lion and the vegan "Green Dream" is now served up in our neighborhood. Super delicious. I have mine on sliced bread.
All in all my favorite sandwich in the city. The food and service at Fox and Lion feel completely down to earth yet still full of passion, and the price is great. I find it really standing out in a city full of over-priced, highly-marketed restaurants. The sandwich is gourmet quality while the price
Got the bagels on a whim as to not come to gathering empty handed and boy were we surprised. These are honestly the best bagels in SF. No business being this good. Tastes like a small batch and really well crafted. The breakfast sandwich was really good too. Interesting to use a fritatta as the egg
