Favorite bar in SF...fantastic staff, good selection of reasonably priced beers, and close to tons of food options (which you can bring into the bar)

Northstar is my favorite bar in San Francisco! The perfect spot for drinks with a free pool table and popcorn. You will meet both locals and tourists.

One of the main North Beach local bars, draws a crowd almost every night. Nice bartenders. I used to watch football here with my roommate.

This place exists at the difficult to communicate intersection of neighborhood bar, local saloon, and party bar. This is where my Philadelphia Eagles club meets. We share the bar with the Buffalo Bills fanclub. They're in the front of the bar, we're in the back room. I love Sunday mornings and happy hours, but it totally turns into a "young person's bar" and gets a bit wild after 9:00.

Same as it ever was! Timeless watering hole with an epic bartender playing the best alternative British 80s music. Scrimshaw super fresh 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great neighborhood bar if you are a Bills or Eagles fan. Staff and customers were super friendly. No table breaking here just fans wanting to watch their team and have a good time.

Great bar to hangout at! Drinks are strong and cheap. No cover to get in. Always playing good music. Free pool table with healthy competition. Female:Male ratio is usually 2 to 1. The bar is on the smaller size and can get over packed & heated.

Yeah, so it's a dive and a stinkin' Buffalo Bills bar at that. None of them were there at the time, they must have been bowling. The bartender, a Frisco native and her regulars were terrific. Learned more in one afternoon about life in SF than in all the other visits to the area. Great happy hour prices.

Best place to hang out and watch a game, or to just have a drink with friends. It’s like a college bar for grown ups. Great atmosphere, great people behind the counter, and the local neighborhood crowd makes NSC my go to hangout spot.

I still haven’t been able to get the bartenders name but he practically knows my husband and I when we visit SF (he’s the older cat with the shaved head)Super friendly crowd every time we go. You never know who you might spark a conversation with, since everyone is so outgoing. First time we went, a guy came back with wings and shared it with the whole bar. Another guy started buying people drinks! We were hooked since then lol! The best bar I have been to by far!

The best pub I have ever been. Good beers selection, and free popcorn. The staff is very kindly and the crowd too. Couple of years I visited and since them I was looking for it. When I am back to SF, I will really pay a new visit. It is worth to visit this place, really cool.

Dog friendly, good bar with an affordable happy hour. They play sports games with the sound on for big games and the staff are pretty friendly. Careful though, when the bar is busy they sometimes mess up an order and pour the wrong drink, and that sucks.

Northstar is my favorite bar in SF. I quickly became a regular because the owners, staff and patrons are all awesome! I am happy to call them all my friends. If you are polite they will put on any game you would like to watch, even if it isn't a local team.
