From out of town. Found it amongst many other bars. I decided to go to this one because of the live music. Found quite a selection of fantastic beers on tap. Great place! Went back the next night too!

Great local small venue with free music on Monday and Wednesday. Every Tuesday 7 to 9 pm is an awesome standup comedy show from Troubled Comedy run by Rajeev Dhar. Funny guy and a good time. Check it out!

Delicious house beers and a charmingly macabre decor. We were told it was a jazz night but what we got was decidedly bluegrass (not our twist at ALL). Regardless, the stage, sound, and feel of the place were all dope af.

Small but cozy place. Wednesday night Jazz was amazing. The singer was Nora Jones-esque and she knocked it out of the park. Good happy hour too.

It's a cozy venue and I've enjoyed the live music there. The bar tenders are friendly and efficient. Seems to be a varied crowd depending on the night.

Gotta love the live music and am there frequently for jazz and craft beer. Excellent selection of beer and fun upscale dive bar-ish decor. Also if you dance there is a contingent that comes to dance on the very tiny dance floor for the Wednesday evening live music.

I love it here! There's music every night, including a lot of free shows (bluegrass on Mondays, jazz on Wednesdays) and cheap ones as well. Given how many bands they put on here, I'm impressed to say I've never seriously disliked a band I've seen here. I love that they do month-long residencies for artists so they can refine their work. It's not a full bar, so they only have beer, wine, and soju cocktails. But the beer selection is pretty good.

Great music. Both bands were talented and I'd certainly go back.

Awesome intimate venue with interesting acts. Bluegrass Mondays is a favorite, but just about any night there's an interesting lineup of local bands with either no cover or cheap covers. Good beer selection and funky vibe...great pace to catch a show.

One of the best sounding, quaint music venues in San Francisco. Lot's of great improvements have been done to a classic place to see live music (I've been coming here for over 15 years). Always a quality act on stage, too, not a bad night to be there. Bartender was very friendly and the beer selection is one of the best.

I came here for a random beer week event. It was my first time. Place is small but has cool vibes and staff. Sawyer a few rad bands and drank some delicious Anchor beer. Pop in to see if there is any live music happening or even just for a drink.

Went to see some comedy on a Tuesday night. Real nice cosy atmosphere, really great captive audience, the comics were good and I had some really deep belly laughs. They had a nice selection of beers on tap. I tried their dry cider and it was very crisp and refreshing.

Great Jazz, blues, swing, rock, indie etc you name it this small bar /venue has it. Always a mini dance party going on each night. The beers and wine on tap are incredible. A must visit if you're in the mission neighborhood

Awesome place to see local live music and other talented people. Great beer selection with the best staff working the place. Check out Wednesday's open mic night, that's when it can be great. Amnesia has a piano available for those who play. Freaky to covers.

Went for bluegrass Mondays. Starts at 6:30 pm with a beginners jam session which is impressive. Then a band headlines and does not disappoint. Very mellow vibe, everyone is just enjoying a drink while listening to some good music.

Sadly they have shortened the happy hour, or I would have given 5 stars. They have an excellent beer selection. If you are going for the gypsy jazz, show up early enough to sit up front you you can see (or be one of) the Charleston dancers. The Bluegrass evening is nice, too.

Great spot if you love live music , beer and wine. It's ALWAYS been a beer and wine joint just FYI for 16 plus years now so not sure why I read reviews saying "lost liquor license" or "no hard alcohol" ...It's just a chill cozy great SF staple to see live music and drink GREAT beer and wine..

I always love going to this place back when Sean owned it and toshio wood play on the second Monday of the month. It was my go-to bar. I'm really glad that he decided to sell it to the couple that owns the City Beer Store because it is still a fun venue and now has even better beer options.

As a musician, Amnesia had always been a good gig, but when the owners of The City Beer Store bought it, it became killer. They ripped out and replaced the old beer lines and now their beer list goes toe-to-toe with any other place in the city. They also upgraded the sound system which was WAY overdue. I love playing here and all the staff are top-notch. Great sound guys, too.
