1/7/20: The meal was good, but I now know I don't like chocolate sauce on my meat. Expensive for the Polk Gulch hood, but prices keep going up in this area.

Solid homemade corn tortillas. Would come back and try the carnitas tacos. Mahi mahi was okay. UPDATE: Changing from 3 to 5 stars. The carnitas with guacamole and homemade tortillas are amazing. This place is second to Uno Dos Tacos for best tacos in SF right now.

Great Mexican food. No fancy stuff, just the basics here, but damn good. Awesome salsa bar, really great tomatillo salsa, incredible escabeche, and a really traditional chopped cilantro and onion. Fantastic. Super affordable. Combo plates are 11 bucks. You will leave full and happy! 😁🥰☺️

The best parts were the handmade tortillas and the service. They were very accommodating to a milk allergy and made sure that our entrees didn't have cheese. The atmosphere was authentic. The mole and enchilada sauce were ok.

Quick and tasty sums it up. I had the steak borracho burrrito which was well prepared and flavorful. The steak was tender and the beans and chile tasted just right. The salsa bar is a nice touch. The flavors are authentic but modern with no hint of TexMex. I will certainly stop here again..

The breakfast burritos here are awesome! Other than that, the food may not be the best but it's definitely above average, and it's conveniently located near my spot, so I don't always need to take the trip down to the Mission for a good burrito. Also, they have horchata and booze.

Handmade tortillas give this place huge marks, not only are they delicious and fresh, they compliment any dish in the menu. The food is decent and only one of a few Mexican places in Polk street, which gives them an upper hand. That being said, the salsa bar lacks flavor and spice and the ktotchke inspired decor needs updating. The place needs a shot in the arm to wake it up and become the go to taqueria in the Lower Nob Hill neighborhood. Here's hoping 🤞

One of the best fish 🌮 in the city. I'm serious! Try it. And super cool authentic Mexican interior.

This is a great place for a casual Mexican meal. Their Carnitas is awesome. Burritos are a generous size. They have beer on tap and in bottles. The service is very good.

Tortillas do not get fresher than this. Made from scratch, to order. The chicken taco combo w/ guac and rice/beans is just a total scarfable orgy of good tasty food. Great variety of salsas if the drier style of taco is not your thing. Only bad thing is that parking really sucks around there - call ahead to have your order ready for pick up! WE LOVE PANCHO'S

Pancho's is a great place to grab some burritos and beers on Friday night. $9 pitchers are the best deal in the area, and their burritos are hard to beat. A whole meal for two and beer is less than $25. Try their medium red salsa.

Very solid neighborhood staple. Not going to ever win your best burrito nomination but you’ll never be disappointed. Great homemade salsa and corn tortillas. Good folks behind the counter.
