Fast and friendly service with very reasonable priced menu. Tasty food, noodles, rice and lots of Chinese dishes. Dumplings are freshly made. CC accepted.

This place will surprise you! Very unassuming from the looks of it, but the food is fantastic! The beef roll is amazing and I really wonder why it's not more popular, I could live on this thing. The waitress (who was super nice) also brought out the sauce for the roasted duck for us to dip it in, and that was a great combo. We can't wait to go back and try the soup everyone else is talking about!

Delicious food and a really good price. I tried the smoked duck and enjoyed going full caveman on it. Also had the pancake beef rolls which were very enjoyable as well. Two people can easily eat here for under $35.

We are glad that we found this place. Everything we ordered was really good! Price is slightly lower than other restaurants in the area.

This place was a pleasant surprise. I had just spent the past few hours at Hardly Strictly and my friend was craving dumplings. We ended up stumbling upon this place and loved every dish we ordered. The first thing we got was the spicy fish oil stew. This was my favorite of the four we got. The delicate texture of the fish combined with the spices really cured the chill we got from being outside late. We also got the pork and cabbage dumpling, which where a bit bland by themselves, but when covered in soy sauce were perfect. The chive pancakes were also great to snack on between stores if stew. The last thing we ordered was the tomato and egg noodle soup. It had a very subtle but welcoming sweetness that made for a good palette cleanser. As far as service goes, they worried us a bit; they didn't seem prepared to have every table in the restaurant full, and there was only one waiter. Fortunately he pulled through and everything came out in a reasonable manner. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for good food in a cozy atmosphere.

Noodles were absolutely delicious as well the scallion pancakes and green beans. Steamed veggie dumplings were fine but honestly we probably didn't need to as those to our order since the portions on the other items were plenty large. Would go back and would recommend

Just had dinner at Village House for the first time and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious -- we had several different kinds of dumplings and beef chow mein. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Our favorite part of the meal was our server. He was very kind and funny, making adorable, clever jokes throughout the meal that made this experience go from very good to outstanding. We will definitely be back!!!

Loved the food here! Spicy Dumplings melt in your mouth and pack full of flavor. The beef noodle soup has an amazing bone broth & tender pieces of beef. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu

I. LOVED. This place. I am often hard pressed to find an authentic, low-key, actually high quality Chinese restaurant and this hit all the marks. First, the food was delicious, fresh, and satisfying. I had to black bean sauce dish with thick (handmade) noodles and fresh cucumber and carrot, it was similar to Korean jajang but lighter yet savory. We also had some pork buns and dumplings, also fresh and perfect. The server was polite as hell. And even joked with us and had a sense of humor. The place was also airy and light, the decor was cute. And the green tea was good. Totally want to go back. ** I went back twice and it continues to rock my world 🤸🦌☯️

Very nice neighborhood restaurant for northern Chinese food. We brought the family and ordered a lot of small plates (dumplings with various fillings, breads, veggies) to share. Easier street parking (with parking meters) than most other parts of the city.

We showed up an hour before close but they still accommodated us. We had a spicy dumpling, salt and pepper chicken wings, braised beef soup with noodles and from their "test" menu we had pine nut and corn pancakes. All was divine! Will definitely be visiting village house again.

Had Bean soya sauce noodles, Dumplings, Garlic Bakchoy, Greenchives Pancakes. Everything was really Delicious. Must take out some time for such a delicious chinese food. The Place is located near Lands end and almost walkable from The Legion Honor museum. We actually went searching for dumplings and we found that the place google is suggesting is actually closed and i will review it in a different manner. Luckily we started walking on the street and we came across a place called Village House Restaurant and we saw they too offer dumplings and then we went in and saw the menu had many items and most of them were the first time i came across. Then we ordered the food & the quantity was good. I overate at that place and still everything was so delicious i couldn't stop myself to eat everything. So Guyz i suggest you visit the place, they are friendly servers and very polite. Also the neighbourhood is awesome. These guyz are like pro in making the chinese food and restraunt was awesome. ambience was good they served everything in the menu at 4 PM in the evening. Again i am saying the chinese food was delicious even the vegetarian and eggatarian dishes as well. The Non veg dishes were very tasty.

The service and food was very good! We had the combination plate, fried pork buns, and some red bean buns for dessert. Everything was great, but our favorite were the fried pork buns! Yum

Quiet, humble, and inexpensive. These people work passionately to keep their business running. Perusing their menus is like reading an exotic storybook. Their walls continue that story as one consumes a dish. Highlights include Chinese hamburger, beef rolls, and Pork buns.

Cute, family run Chinese place with a reasonably priced menu. The servings are solid and well worth the money. I go there just for a quick fix of dumplings sometimes.
