Food and vibe is always an A+ at this restaurant/bar. Somewhat of a hidden gem in FiDi. The best staff I’ve encountered in SF. On my top list of places I frequent for drinks and food. Great spot for happy hour.

I believe this is the friendliest restaurant I have ever been to. I walked in by myself after an event in SF and was greeted warmly at the door, walked to and introduced to the bartender Mercedes. She came around the bar to greet me and shake my hand, and we found an empty seat at the bar area where I ordered tapas, a mojito and wine. The guests (regulars) there were all so friendly too! The woman next to me introduced me to Pat, one of the owners, who was also strikingly friendly. I had such a fun evening with what started as a group of strangers but quickly were not. If you want to find a friendly place, I cannot imagine a better one. I felt like I walked into Cheers and was greeted with "Norm!" Oh I guess since it is a restaurant, I should mention: the food and drinks were awesome too, esp. the butterfish rolls (so good that I ordered a second one) and perfect mojito. They even had Bibimbap with the essential crispy white rice (pretty spicy for a white guy, but I bet they could change that). I'll definitely be back. Chip Alexander

Top to bottom a class A place. The menu is incredibly creative, and the execution is equally excellent. The owners are gracious, and the bar staff (hat tip: Mercedes) is peerless. Anytime I come back to town, this will be #1 on my list.

Step 1: Go to this new restaurant bar near your work with your friends because it looks great and any place that sells Soju alongside dumplings is already 1 step in the right direction. Enjoy creative soju drinks, shots, and fresh dumplings and man those shrimp things are really good. Also, mac wontons are not mac and cheese. They are big-mac, and as good as any burger. Step 2: The owners, the wait-staff, the bartenders, make them into your friends because they're just the sort of people you want to be your friends. Drink yourself into a stupor. Go back a few days later because you really want to do it again. Step 3: Turn 30. Rent the bar out for the night to celebrate your birthday. Wreck the place. Have the owner tell you it was awesome. Step 4: Brag about all of this on the internet so other people will do the same thing

The staff were very friendly. There were at least 5 people that spoke with us and made sure that we're taken cared of. The food was different and tasted very differently. It was made by a explorative chef. Will come back whenever we're in the San Francisco area!!!!

Sooo I have to come back to this review and give it the five. It's rare to have a place that knows your name, especially if you are feeling blue. I mean go for the food, drinks and cocktails and the experience, whether you're a millennial desiring to drink and party hearty the night away (typically Thurs.-Sat.) or the more sedate type (like me) wanting to order from the bar whatever fits your mood at the moment. The staff is attentive, but I will call out two, Patrick and Ricky. They are the yin and yang of this unique tapas bar.

Our experience at RM 212 was a delightful feast of diverse flavors and culinary creativity in bar food form. We embarked on a culinary adventure starting with the tantalizing pastrami egg rolls and crispy salt and pepper wings, both bursting with savory goodness. The walnut shrimp offered a perfect blend of light airy crunch and succulence, while the mini pigs in a blanket were delectable bite-sized treats. The chopped cheese empanadas were nice and flaky with a flavorful, cheesy beef. The BEC (bacon egg cheese) pierogies was a nice snackable breakfast in pierogi form. The chicken tamales reminded me of the sticky rice you get at dim sum. Finally, we indulged in the heavenly NY cheesecake bites, a sweet ending that left us craving for more. Our group ordered some of the featured cocktails such as the Yuzu lemon drop, Korean Mule, and Nutella espresso martini. RM 212 impressed us with their inventive menu and skillful execution, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts seeking a memorable and diverse dining experience.

Loved this place. Came here for friend's engagement happy hour. Ordered beef bulgogi nachos, chicken wings, & corn fritters with sake shots. Foods are so flavorful especially spicy wings. My friends loved the sake shots. Great customer services. The menu for dinner is only small tapas. This place is more like drinking bar at night. If you are looking for dinner, this is not for you. But have a drink & small eat after work, this is the place. Reservation highly recommended especially for large group of 5 or above because this place is small & pack with people starting at 7:00 pm.

This place is really hip. Has a bar-like environment, but they don't pressure you to buy drinks. We just ordered the small plates and it was delicious! Ordered the corn fritters, wings and the sausage bao. They were all super tasty and delicious, lots of new flavor. I wasn't sure if this one dude was a manager or owner, but he came by and asked us if everything was good and constantly filled up my water. Great service!!

Amazing food, drinks, and people. If it was in my budget to go out and eat dinner there every day...I probably would for a while. It's not too loud, it's cozy and modern, the food is soooo good...like, incredible, break my diet kind of good! Bulgogi nachos are to die for!

My friend and I were walking down the street looking for a quiet bar to talk and drink. This place was perfect! The flavored soju is great and their bar food is elevated, fresh, and delicious! Very friendly. Will definitely be back to try more food and their cocktails!

I came here for lunch one day and luckily, it was just a short walk from the office. It's a fairly small place, but had a nice modern interior. I got the Breakfast Baos and share the kimchi tater tots. The kimchi tater tots were really good as I love crispy tots. The sauce and the kimchi on top added good flavor to it too. Since I wasn't super hungry, I got the breakfast baos for my main meal. It included pork belly, egg and cheese. It was good, the bread was soft and the pork belly was tender. I just wish it had a little more sauce though. Overall, it was good.

Got fried orange chicken wings, foie gras potstickers and soju. All excellent recommendations by the staff. If you go earlier in the day it’s even better
