This is the best place. You can do art, learn to play ukulele, or exercise in a class or on the equipment. They have fun classes and workshops. Eat lunch. And MAKE FRIENDS! Very friendly, well-run and interesting things to do.
Much fun as well as information about senior issues. They have it all!
Fun-loving and lively community of interesting and creative people from so many backgrounds. The staff and volunteers are fabulous and so dedicated to making the Center a safe, inspiring and up-lifting environment. I particularly enjoy the ceramics department and also love getting to know the painters, photographers, dancers, singers and musicians, and all the seniors actively exercising throughout the day. It's a truly valuable resource for our senior community and I'm very excited to have found it and gotten involved. May the Center continue it's incredible community service for decades to come.
Completely welcoming serving a wide group of people and interests
This is one of the largest senior centers I have ever been in it has over 10 different rooms with painting computer rooms pottery and many other services. It is right on Fisherman's Wharf right next Ghirardelli Square. Some of the groups they have are Computer Lab ,Meditation,, Photography Knitting and Writers Group. They also have exercise classes like Tai Chi, and Zumba.
At 12 o'clock Monday through Friday they have project open hand senior lunch program suggested donations are from $2 to $5 for lunch.
Very accommodating. Just a wonderful place to build or.keep community.
