Rok Steakhouse & Grill - San Jose - Photo album

Food came out fast, hot, and good. There's a part of the menu that's affordable. The other side is pricy. Guessing it's as good if not better than the sandwiches. I'd recommend purely on service.
Flew in for the football game and was staying next door. Just missed closing the night before. Got in after the game, and they were hopping. I sat at the bar, which was open seating. Ulysses was my bartender and server. He "Rok'd" it! They are lucky to have him as he helped the kitchen and servers
I had the Wagyu New York. I asked for Pittsburgh Style, it wasn't quite right, but the flavor was way good. That Coconut Ginger Rice was delicious. I am usual Keto, but that rice was so good that I finished it unexpectedly.
Rok’s main dish are cuts of meat cooked on a 700 degree volcanic rock to your liking. You’re also able to have them cook it in their kitchen grill. Overall a pretty good treat yourself spot but like others said, there’s poor ventilation so your clothes will smell like smoke.
Went for the first time and was amazed at the quality of the food. Ordered NY Steak and Spicy Jambalaya, the food was cooked exactly per request and the ambiance was very good. Will visit soon again. Amazing food, amazing service!
We came for our friends birthday celebration! It was the frst time being at this restaurant. They took the Korean BBQ idea and made it personal for everyone's cooking enjoyment. So now the only person you can blame is yourself if the meat was over cooked on the lava stone. A fun idea and the food wa
First time there and did not know about the "Rok". Waiter was very nice and showed me how to peoperly cook my bone in pork chop on the 700 degree stone. My meat was seared perfectly. I enjoyed searing each slice to my liking. I will definitely be back!
This was a great experience. My boys and I came to town for a 49ers game and were looking for a restaurant that wasn’t fast food with some better dining options. We decided to go in and see how Rok worked. It was a busy night where it was clear we should have had a reservation but we didn’t have one
First visit and came for lunch - traveling from out of state for work. Service fantastic atmosphere pretty great. The meal I ordered, teriyaki bowl, was very salty, and the shrimp was over cooked. My coworkers ordered jambalaya and the poke salad and both really enjoyed theirs.
The food is great. I really like the steak on the rock. They do smell really good. Our service is really great. He was really friendly and took good care of us.
Nice food. Friendly staffs. Fun experience! I got the hanger on the Rok. The Rok is their signature style where they serve entrees on an extremely hot rock. I can then cut the entree into pieces and grill them on the rock. It was so much fun, and I loved that I could control how well it was cooked.
We love this place, this is the second time we come here, the food is just delicious with a reasonable price! The steak is fantastic, good quality beef with interesting way to cook it yourself on the volcanic stone! Fresh and tender, the sources are tasty! The crispy jalapeño Calamari is just wonder
The cool part (and why people come here) is the hot stone grill in the middle of your plate. Meat is decent quality. Sides are good as well. Nice place for dinner.
Highly recommended. A unique experience having to cook your own steak on a 700°C volcanic rock to your liking. Try the Bison Ribeye. Thank me after. And the waiter, Jose. What a guy! Very accommodating and made our day enjoyable.
