What a wonderful restaurant! We had garlic shrimp and crab cakes for appetizers. The crab cakes were very good. The garlic shrimp were AMAZING! I had the short rib and my wife had the blackened salmon salad for mains. Both were very very good. We couldn't finish them all so didn't even try dessert. We both agreed: we'll be going back.

The chef is very friendly. We can feel his passion when he introduces the dishes to us. Everything tastes good. I particularly love the Pear & Gorgonzola Flatbread. It’s very rich and flavorful. Zuppa toscana is great too. We will definitely come again.

Great food, friendly staff, and cosy ambience. We walked in for dinner and sat outsdie. Inside looked much cuter but it was super loud. We had a meatball appetizer, a salmon entree and an almond crusted sole entre. Meatballs were average, but the two entrees were tasty and generous. I particularly loved the almond crusted sole fillet. The server was very nice and brought water for my dog. Recommend this place and will be back again

Would definitely come back to eat just the two 5 star dishes though. Spanish prawns - 5/5, really good Angry pasta -5/5, unexpectedly delicious Crab cakes - 0/5 , the crab cakes themselves lacked flavor and the avocado and sauce didn’t gel well with it . At $22 this was definitely a miss Sole - 2/5, extremely greasy and a very bland almond sauce, rice was ok Pros: Quick and friendly service Located in a parking lot so don’t need to search for parking Good portion size Cute serve ware and decent ambience Cons: Menu is a little over the place in terms of flavor profiles. Some items are definitely overpriced for the taste and quality.

Been coming here a long time. Sad to see economics and COVID destroying local small fantastic restaurants. Such places as these cannot afford to pay the "living wage", as good as that idea is. The margins for small businesses and especially restaurants are just too small. We all know this. This is why traditionally these positions were staffed by students. If you have the time, and the desire, Dave will appreciate your business. Sienna Bistro will always be a favorite place of ours. It is not inexpensive. A great dining experience is not meant to be.

Great spot in Downtown Willow Glen just behind the main street, Lincoln Avenue. We came here for my wife's birthday during the week, and we chose to sit outside. The outside has a nice area, and the inside does have a small bar. Our service was very good, as we had a few servers come by and attend to our party of 5. There are a nice selection of specialty drinks, and we had the Angry Rita and Italian Stallion. The clam chowder was good. I had the Sole, and my wife the Butternut Squash Ravioli. Both were very tasty and nice sized portions. The chocolate coffee crunch for Dessert was very nice. The restaurant was busy though not full, and there was plenty of parking.

Sienna Bistro specializes in Mediterranean food, you have a good selection of meat, seafood and veggies dishes. The food tastes great. The restaurant environment is warm and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service could be improved a bit, we were seated for a good 10 plus minutes before anyone took our order.

Always a pleasure to dine at Sienna Bistro! A classic menu of delicious offerings, great wine list, great service, and relaxing atmosphere on the laid-back heated patio. The chef always makes the rounds and says hello to the customers, which is an added bonus. It is truly a hidden gem and one of the best restaurants in San Jose.

Excellent service and a nice choice of Mediterranean inspired dishes. I always found a nice selection of salads, pasta, risotto, seafood, chicken and beef. The cocktails are excellent as is the service. On a warm evening, I recommend eating on the patio.

My girlfriend and I go here for Valentine's Day and our anniversary every year. The service staff are very nice - major ups to the guy who always keeps my water topped off and gives great banter - and the food quality is great. Good drinks too. Prices are fairly steep, but it's in line with the other finer dining in Willow Glen.

Choose the patio dining, indoors tight seating. Very fresh food. Appetizers to Dessert! Can accommodate smaller group 8 or less.

Had dinner there for our first visit, a party of 6 and the service was wonderful. Attentive without being overbearing. The food was also delicious. Each dish was tasty and uniquely flavored, everyone ordered something different, so I think we got a good sampling of entrees and each was enjoyable. The salmon dish in particular was fantastic. Loved the desserts as well. Will definitely return.

Started out by selecting from their concise but creative cocktail menu. I went with the "Lost on Lincoln". The recipe has been updated from what is listed on the website. It is now a high-octane blend of light rum, vodka, tequila, gin, creme de casis, and Sprite. If you enjoy a good Long Island Iced Tea or AMF, you'll appreciate this starter. My appetizer was the clam chowder. Emphasis on clam! There were a few lonely cubes of potato in this chowder, but they were vastly outnumbered by abundant chunks of tender, succulent clam. Chowder done right! From my first glance at the menu, there was no doubt what my entree would be. Scallops & abalone meat breaded in panko, sautéed & served with a lemon beurre blanc sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. Everyone knows how well steak and lobster play together. But scallops and abalone dance ecstatically together. Now if only someone could figure out how to get them to interbreed! This entree paired deliciously with a crisp, tart 2017 Kim Crawford New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. No jarring transition from entree to dessert tonight. This was something to be eased into. I chose the 2018 Opolo Summit Creek Paso Robles Zinfandel. This is by no stretch of the imagination a dessert wine. But its depth, fruitiness, and spiciness provided the perfect path from savory entree to delectable dessert. I had planned to go with the tiramisu for dessert. But when I saw that today's special sorbet was BlackBerry Cabernet, the world turned upside down. I paired this with a nice pour of well-chilled limoncello. The combination evoked images of springtime in California vineyards with an excursion to the Sorrento Peninsula on the Bay of Naples. Nice! Siena Bistro's address is on Lincoln Ave, Willow Glen's main drag. But you won't see it from the street. It actually fronts the parking lot behind the building. Enter the lot from Minnesota Ave. If you make the search, you'll enjoy the find!

The best Italian food in San Jose!! My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner and relaxing evening at Siena! The service was top notch and the recommendations from the host and server were delicious. The flatbread with pear, gorgonzola, arugula, candies walnuts and balsamic was delicious. For dinner we really enjoyed the roasted duck lasagna! They have an authentic selection of wine and Italian beer, as well as a solid dessert menu (sorbet, gelato, and classics like tiramisu). The owner David was talking to patrons and was very kind. Last night was our first time, and we can't wait to go back!! Thank you again!!
