I typically eat breakfast here when I’m staying in downtown San Jose. While it’s a bit pricey, the staff is amazing, the view is fantastic and the buffet offers a lot of great options. The fruit is always fresh and all of the prepared foods always are very nice in appearance. The only feedback I would offer is that the oatmeal has too much water in it. During my most recent stay, I was in another nice downtown hotel, but still came over here for breakfast.

Get the mushroom Bisque if you just want an appetizer. The Ironhorse champagne is delicious. And the 12oz NEw York Steak was perfectly cooked.

Very great place to take your date. You can expect to have a very nice, high quality dinner with great service. Their ribeye was perfectly medium-rare, just as I ordered, and the scallops were very tender and delicious. Very nice selection of wine as well.

My wife and I had dinner there last night, and it was great. I ordered the oysters and she ordered the pork chop with a couple of sides. There was enough from her meal to make 2. I really like the oysters and the sauces that came with them. They made a great combo with the house made french fries with three dipping sauces that come out instead of bread.

I was staying at the San Jose Marriott for a conference and wanted something quick for lunch on the day I arrived. The menu is small but the food was superb! I had a chicken BLT with avocado and maple bacon as well as duck fat french fries. Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned expertly and served with a smile. I cant wait to try something else from the menu! One note, when I wrote this Google said they were closed until 5 but they are actually open for breakfast and lunch as shown in my picture. Enjoy!

Service and food is quite good. The accident was that a waitress mistakenly poured water to ginger ale glass but eventually the amendment was good, it was replaced with a new glass of full ginger ale sooner or later.

One of Chef Michael Mina's restaurants (started in SF and has opened numerous spots across the US). Elegant atmosphere located in downtown San Jose within the Marriott hotel. Overall the food is great and the wine selection is outstanding. After being seated, they usually give complimentary fries with 3 dipping sauces. Just a teaser, but good stuff. I usually go for the steaks and the petite lobster and sometimes the seared scallops. Fantastic! Desserts are also top notch. Place is pricey, so we try to keep to special occasions. Reservations are recommended, but we've always had luck with grabbing a couple seats at the bar (full menu is served).

Lobster Corn Dogs! YES! We decided to eat here while at a convention. Thought we were just getting standard "hotel restaurant" food. Pleasantly surprised. The Lobster Corn Dogs were incredibly light and tasty. The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich was amazing. The Chesapeake Bay Crab Cake Sandwich was pretty good too. Have since found out that this is a Michael Mina restaurant, explaining it's elevated menu. The one issue we experienced was in the staffing. They were severely under-staffed on a day when there were 35,000 people in the convention center the hotel is attached to. The staff on duty were doing the best they could but were overwhelmed.

This is an excellent choice for upscale dining in downtown San Jose. I used to go more often with my wife, but then was on hiatus. After returning here more than 8 years later, I'm still impressed!!! The quality of the food is top notch. My wife had the lobster pot pie, and it was exceptional. The presentation was great too, and you could tell the server was excited about it. A great place to visit for a nice romantic, or other fancy dinner. And close to the Center for Performing Arts in case you're going to a musical or other show later on.

Some of the most creative and tantalizing flavors that dance upon your tounge. The wine list is supreme as well as the hand crafted cocktails and such a diverse selection of beers, there are some you cannot find anywhere. The service is beyond great, you are made to feel cheerful and feel like the only guests in the restaurant because the waiters and assistant waiters are always subtlety checking on you without even having to interrupt you. Highly recommended as the best place to dine in San Jose.

Today was my first time eating here. Let me say the food was delicious. Great set up for breakfast buffet as well as the quality. Our server Adrian was friendly and providing such great customer service. I haven't gone to restraunt in a long time with great service like that. Will definitely go back again.
