Incredible Thai food. The decor looked very nice and didn't have "hole-in-the-wall" vibes, so I was leery about the food, but the food was very flavorful and authentic.
The service was superb, and they were attentive to refilling water, clearing plates, etc.
The papaya salad with salted crab was probably the best I've ever had and I have to eat a lot of Thai food bc it's my husband's favorite. The roasted duck curry was also very nice and perfectly seasoned. The only downside was they didn't have sticky rice and we love sticky rice with our meals.
Would definitely return!
Good authentic thai food. Relatively inexpensive, good portions and nicely flavored food. We loved that the food was close to the real deal and spicy. Enjoyed our aubergine salad, noodles and thai iced tea.
Very friendly service. Food is tasty though Americanized. Fresh coconut is huge!
The Tom Yum soup was amazing but the fried rice was a bit lacking...good but not as flavorful as others that I've had. The Penang Curry was outstanding...
It's a nice authentic setting. But the lady who was taking my order was short with me, impatient and didn't want to suggest anything. I'm Asian so I can differentiate cultural nuance from attitude.
Not everyone who comes in knows what they want. Now I tend to look elsewhere for Thai food...I'll probably still come by, but just for takeout.
Definitely one of my faves. Had the moo kra theim and basil chili garlic, yum. The string beans with chili,93a on the menu, is also excellent.
Went back a couple nights ago, mango and sticky rice was in ay, super yummy.
I have been going here since the 90’s. Never had a bad dish. Favorites are Pad Khee Mao with prawns (aka Drunken Noodles), Pad Thai, Keoey Tiei Neua Soup (aka Boat Noodles), Panang Curry, Mussaman Curry, and Thai Iced Tea to drink.
Very busy during dinner time, had to wait quite a while. But the food was great. Fried tofu was decent. I ordered the Thai basil it was phenomenal!!. My partner ordered cashew chicken that was also quite good. Would definitely recommend if visiting this area and live thai food, or are wanting to experiment with new cuisine. My only complaint is I wish the portions were a little larger.
Hmm this is not best place in town, talking about Thai food. Places is packed. Service is better than other Thai. Food is good. Could be better and more flavorful yes. There are better Thai in San Jose definitely. But it’s a good place. They have a lot of options. Service is good. Pet friendly.
If this is the original, does that imply there are others? Is original always better? Was there some sort of disagreement that took place? Is this all a marketing scheme? Isn’t there a krung thai with in 5 miles? So many questions, and only one mouth to ask and to eat. Find out the answers to these questions and more when you visit the restaurant
We enjoy the food and would recommend but have noticed that the portions have become a lot smaller. We ordered a main shrimp dish that had exactly 6 small shrimp - tasted good but disappointing.
The little garden guarding the entry is tropical and cute. The waitress is nice. We came right at noon on Sunday. There were not many customers, but when we finished the meal, it was almost full house. We ordered 4 dishes. Except the pineapple fried rice is a bit oily, the rest are very good. The flavor of the special soup for the flat rice noodle is very strong, a bit sour and fruity. It's a taste we have never had it before. After eating some of it, we kind of like it! The curry with coconut milk for the grilled duck is very tasty. We finished the meat and brought back the leftover curry home and used it to cook chicken curry for the dinner. Very yummy. The best dish is krungthai tofu. The fried tofu soaked with the sauce from the minced crab and chicken, covered by big shrimps and bamboo shoots are perfect! We really enjoyed the meal there!
Good tasty thai food with lots of vegetarian options. Highly recommend Rama tofu dish... with tofu, eggplant and green curry. Prompt service and decent family ambience.
In general food is tasty, but the portions are small, 2 people ordered one papaya salad, one pad thai, one curry with two rices and a sticky mongo rice, just about right.
