Been on a Mexican food kick lately so today after church I pulled out my “favorite” Yelp App and searched nearby Mexican food. Mavericks caught my eye.

I'm a fan. Friendly family run. Good outside covered eating area when it's warm and heated when not. Carne asada is really tasty. Fish and shrimp tacos really good. Their salsa excellent.
Pleasant experience with delicious food and friendly people. I loved the halibut tacos. Will come back again.

Super friendly folks working here. Looks a bit more worn in than the last time we were here but the food was still great. There was a mural or menu on the wall that is kind of plain now.

Stopped here on my way through San Jose on business. Great atmosphere, clean, and delicious food. Chips are fresh, salsa is just right, and the fajita was very good! It seems like a family owned business and they are very friendly! Would recommend.

My wife and I love this place! She is vegetarian and loves their vegetarian burritos and their flan. When we want to do a great date night we go here. The management and the workers are always super nice, go above and beyond for their customers. Highly recommend this place and the food is super deli
This place is brilliant. Classic Mexican with a good twist (lots of fish options). Super friendly service, generous portions, and their salsa verde is delicious. Definitely worth a detour if you're in San Jose or driving through.

Great burritos and taco plates. Chicken, steak and sea bass all are amazing (note they no longer offer sea bass). Family owned restaurant the owner and his wife are great people. The service is by far and away some of the best in the Bay Area.
Great street tacos. I'd recommend one of each and maybe even the octopus if you're adventurous. The staff is very friendly and offered a complimentary flan because we were celebrating birthdays.

Food is OK, service is excellent. When they forgot to put a salad on our order, the owner brought one to us at no charge. The fish tacos were OK, a little dry. The enchilada dinner was better.
Great place to go if you like a little twist on standard Mexican food. Good choice of seafood , beef, pork, and chicken. Out door seating is covered, enclosed, and heated. The regular burrito was about all I could eat, can't imaging getting a super burrito down.
