This Greek food place has been a Go-to favorite. The gyro plate/ bowls fresh and served at really good portion. Their specialty Frozen yogurt dessert with honey and baklava is my favorite. Also, their Greek fries is good too. Good Greek food in and around San Jose downtown.
Had a gyro wrap, Greek Salad, hummus and pita, and froyo for desert. Everything was delicious and I ate it all. I will definitely be coming back.
I’ve had quite a few items here but the Greek burger is a must try. The French fries are fresh and it comes with a fountain drink. Parking is awful but there’s a garage nearby. Service is good but slow. There’s usually only 3 people working. Plenty of seating. No outside seating. Return value is high. Price is moderate. Upbeat music is usually playing and it’s a relaxing atmosphere.
The yogurt is always good but the price definitely isn’t worth it anymore. When they used to come in the bowls it was definitely worth the cost but now they have downsized it a lot and looks like they only took off a dollar. The size of the yogurt definitely isn’t worth $6 or $7 more like $3-$5. At this point I’m going to start getting my frozen yogurt fix from yogurt land.
I am not a regular Greek foodie, so my review is based on my preference and comparison from other Greek food I have had before. The Gyro we got was beef and lamb and the flavor was THERE. I very much enjoyed it! The Greek fries were also good! The only delta I have is the chicken and pork kebabs didn’t have the juicy and flavorful taste I was looking for. Definitely recommend trying out.
This location always has an excellent service and the food is very fast even when they’re very busy. It’s my go to Nick the Greek around this area
Tasty food, fast service, nice interior, friendly folks, a little something different. Love coming here for a quick, inexpensive bite. The bowls and salads include fresh tomatoes and cucumbers that actually taste like tomatoes and cucumbers!
Second time at Nick the Greek, first at this location. This experience was considerably better than my first. Food was really fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the greek fries, they actually come with a combo.
Only issue was I ordered online and it only asked what side I wanted so I did not think a combo came with a drink, however while I was there (after I had already decided to buy a drink separately) I noticed on the menu that a combo came with a side and a drink. Will not be ordering online again.
Very nice location, very clean, friendly staff, quality food with generous portions. You will go home stuffed. Something for everyone! We ordered a beef lamb gyro with extra taziki & greek fries, chicken Souvlaki with extra skewer & greek fries, and for dessert Loukoumades. If you never had greek food this is a great place to start! 😊
Not that they need another review. But wow the Greek food is tasty. I was the only one there since it’s on a Saturday on a non workday in downtown. You think the food would be dry or sitting there. But no , they cook it and make it fresh! I’m so satisfied! Def coming back when I’m in town
We stopped in for a quick lunch. Rarely enjoyed the friendly and fast service! We got Nick’s fries with beef/lamb and loved them! Packed with flavor. The chicken gyro bowl was also tasty. Everything inside was clean and overall a pleasant, efficient lunch.
Nick's has some decent Greek food. While I can't speak for the meat options, the were two decent vegetarian entrees:a falafel and a grilled veggies/mushroom pita wrap. The falafel was pretty good. I liked it better than the grilled veggies. I'd give it a 4.5/5. The grilled veggies was decent but was lacking a little bit of seasoning/sauce. It also had French fries in it, which was a nice addition. I'd give it a 4/5 It wasn't bad by any means. The Greek fries were garlic seasoned with feta cheese topping (I love feta). However, they were a little on the small size for being a side, but were pretty tasty. We got them to go, so they were a little cold by the time we got home. Still tasted good, just wished the were more. The atmosphere was modern, clean, and inviting. The cashier was very friendly! Prices were a bit high, but expected for a downtown location. Now, I don't mind going to San Padro Square to eat so much with great choices like Nick The Greek.

Their gyro and gyro salad was really good. I can definitely crave it. Amount of tasty meat for $10 was surprising. It's a great competitor to Chipotle which is right across the street.
The worker does her job, but really does the minimal. I think the ordering part can be replaced by a kiosk in this case.
I had grilled veggies falafel pita. It was delicious. It had onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini and fries. Must try
Very tasty food... some of the best Greek food I've had recently! Still trying to adjust how quickly food prices have gone up, but that's not a hit on this place, only the economy we have let get out of hand.
