Japanese food in general is an acquired taste. I am so glad Kenji has helped me in acquiring it. I had the Rising Sun Sushi, while my friends had green monster and veggie caterpillar with Veggie Gyoza. Great taste and great service, everything was quick, just like the Japanese train system. Definitely worth trying, if you want to have Japanese food.

Amazing sushi and great vibes. Incredibly fast and friendly service. It is kind of expensive though.. Was nice for a special occasion!

It's the city near the walk so expectations are low, but every 4 ft there are warning signs about getting your vehicle stolen nothing about if you park here for 35 minutes your car will ne covered in pollen. The chicken katsu was tough and chewy but there was allotof it and the dancing dragon roll was smaller than most places I go for sushi. Also had to ask for my sake 4 times before they finally brought it. Gyoza were bomb though šŸ˜‹

If you donā€™t mind spending more on a nice dinner, food here is great. Fresh sashimi, good selection of rolls and their presentation is top notch.

great vibe šŸ’œ, good food, understanding manager, friendly servers n staff. Customers care about family friend n don't mind talking to strangers. Buy people drink n start talking. Gave the smart starving waitress $100 so she could afford to eat at the restaurant she work at with her friend.

Thank you for serving a really beautiful spread of sashimi and after 9pm, no less! A pair of hungry gym-goers are very grateful. A nice cocktail to boot.

The fish was very fresh and delicious. The rolls were creative and very tasty. The Ocean Breeze had apple as an inside filler, and it was very tasty and complimented the fish very nicely. The kiss of fire had a kick but was not overly spicy, I actually expected it to be spicier than it was. All in all this was one of my better sushi experiences in the south bay and I will be going back again

We love Kenji Sushi and have been coming here for years. The atmosphere is chill and the service is friendly. My favorite item is the Shrimp Balls; Crab and Shrimp ā€œsaladā€ rolled and fried in panko crumbs, topped with unagi sauce and spicy mayo. Delicious! Their sashimi is fresh and nice sizes. I usually go for the Sake Sashimi and this time also tried the Fusion Salmon Nigiri which was incredible. Parking gets full fast and is a small lot. Itā€™s best to come here off-hours to avoid the crowd and parking congestion.

All 3 sushi rolls we got were incredible! Especially the Kenji Tempura Roll - one of the best rolls weā€™ve ever had. Bay island and even a basic California were above average. Would highly recommend.

Pretty good lunch for a Sunday. Unfortunately our hot tea was cold, we asked to warm it up then it was way too hot and then the fried sushi rolls were extremely hot. Soy sauce was salty wish they have low sodium on the table. The udon beef was super good loved the flavor and the service was good

Great place. I've been coming here for 4 years and the quality has always been good. The exotic rolls are unique and memorable; I recommend the Crunchy Mango, Raising Sun, Red Dragon. Highly recommend this sushi spot over others in the area. The atmosphere is great but during busy times, it's hard to find parking. I've had to park at Santana Row, across the street a couple times but it's very close so it's not a big inconvenience.

My favorites were Orange Blossom and Victoria's Secret. It is one of the best sushi in the Bay Area. We tried Shashimi Moriawase and from exotic rolls: orange Blossom, salmon delight, Victoria's secret. The sushi quality is excellent but it is a little bit pricey.

I got the best service imaginable here PLUS the food was good. The host and server checked in with me endless times. I felt like VIP. I had the bento salmon box, mango crunchy roll and hot tea. Thereā€™s only about 25 parking spaces so beware of that before your arrival. I was seated immediately by the host. I didnā€™t wait more than 2 minutes to get water and my menus. Items came out quickly as theyā€™re staffed with 3 male sushi chefs. Tea has free refills so Iā€™d recommend it. The mango crunch roll was good but not worth $18 The bento box is worth coming back for. Itā€™s very affordable with all kinds of goodies. Miso soup, salad, choice of protein and a choice of sushi roll. Miso was hot, salmon was cooked perfectly, sauce was amazing, tuna roll was tasty and salad was flavorful. Highly recommended! Return value 5/5 Parking 1/5 Price 4/5 Quality 5/5

Some of the best sushi I've had in a long time. I went to and left two other restaurants the day I found this one. They have air conditioning, amazing service, fresh oysters and the sashimi was awesome. They are also open all day which is a plus with me as I do not work a regular schedule. When I order a sashimi I don't just judge it by the fish. I also judge it by the presentation and the shredded daikon radish. Is the radish fresh? Is the radish soaked in blood? The answers were yes and no. I also had the fresh oysters and an oyster shooter and they both were amazing. Thank you for the wonderful experience I was looking for I will be back.
