Kyusu Burmese Restaurant - San Jose - Photo album

It was my first time having Burmese Cuisine and I really enjoyed everything that I tried! The tea leaf salad was really special (just be aware that it does contain peanuts)! I can definitely recommend the Burmese Chicken Curry bento as well. The curry was mildly spicy. The portions were quite large
Only have had Burmese food a few times. The original salad was good, refreshing, light. The fried chicken also a bit above average, heavy on the vinaigrette, crispy, not too dry. The coconut noodles, unfortunately, was not to my liking, somewhat blend.
This is probably my favorite Burmese restaurant in the Bay Area coming from a Burmese person who grew up in Myanmar. The Shan noodles were delicious despite being vegetarian! My partner really enjoyed his coconut noodles too. The dessert option was also just like from home. My go to place :) just w
Can't wait to go back next time we are craving Burmese. Closest thing we have found (in the area) to a Burmese friend cooking for you. No funky warmed over meat or fishy odors here! Food was well fried at the correct temperature (we are always chagrined at how many restaurants cannot get fried f
Delicious Burmese food, you should give it a try and dip into new flavors. They have well priced bento boxes, try the one with yellow pea curry, it comes with the Excellent tea salad (a must have). We also had the noodles with chicken, and very good. For lunch they also had a free cup of soup. The
an amazing but inconspicuous restaurant to delve into burmese cuisine! came for lunch with two friends and service was fast, attentive, and helpful when we had questions about what to order. as someone with a pitifully low spice tolerance sometimes i err away from cuisines like this but to my deligh
Dining at Kyusu was my first foray into Burmese cuisine, and I have to say I'm definitely a fan! I've had my fair share of southeast Asian cuisine, and I can safely ay that nothing really compares to Burmese food - the dishes here are so unique that they're in a league of its own. They have a prett
9/29 — Today is their last day of business 😢 Owner is retiring. Thank you, Kyusu, for the amazing food and service over the years. This was my favorite Burmese restaurant ❤️ --- Get a group and order lots of dishes to share so you can try all the yummy food.
This is my first time trying Burmese food. tea salad was fresh and refreshing. The other two items are okay.
Good thing about this place is they have a limited menu but everything on it tastes extremely good. We ordered 3 different dishes and all of them were super delicious. The ambience is also really nice which makes it a very different place from regular south bay restaurants. Highly recommended. Do tr
My roommate introduced me to this gem of a place and wonderful cuisine. They provide very friendly and quick service along with some really tasty food. You also get treated to an authentic soup as a complimentary dish. Tea leaf salad is their main specialty and a flavor bomb while the spicy noodles
The taste of some of the dishes served here is surprisingly similar to some of the homemade delicacies I grew up with in West Bengal, an Indian state over 700 miles west of central Myanmar. I guess flavor is a universal language. Apart from the food, the staff here is very friendly and the ambience
Only the second time I've ever had Burmese food. Not easy to get them where I'm from so def wanted to try this place. Food was delicious, service was good. Placed got really packed quick so it's a popular place. Would come again to try other items on the menu
One of my favourite restaurants in the area. Food is always so good, even takeout. Their tea leaf salad original is so flavourful and has so many different textures and is the best tea leaf salad you can find here. It’s a must get. The aroma chicken is another beautiful dish full of flavour. Each di
Nice Burmese restaurant that is a little hidden gem. Food was BOMB!! Very friendly staff and they play straight up Burmese music. I love it. Definitely coming back for more.
Friendly service. Tasty dishes. Tea leave salad is very good. Must try.
The food was pretty good, friendly server, however the wait time was long even though the place was fairly empty.
Highly recommend their tea leaves salad. Khow suey and goat stew was good too
