Good place for lunch. We split chile relleno and chicken chimichanga. My friend also ordered fish taco and shrimp taco. It came out hot and fresh, very tasty and good texture. A favorite is the chile relleno and shrimp taco. Might be fun to try the margaritas and flan next time. Tried shrimp quesadillas, flan and margarita. Consistently tasty and nice service. Weekends are busier than weekdays with friendly locals. When done with meal, go to the square window to get your check.

Food was delicious and the service was very friendly. This place can get busy so if you decide to visit be prepared to have about a 30 minute wait for your food if they are busy. In addition the Horchata here is nice and light and tasted like it was water based which is much nicer than milk based in my opinion.

The real deal authentic Mexican food, the taste is fantastic exactly as it is in a good restaurant in Mexico. There is really nothing special about this place which is exactly the reason this place is so great because it is just right and authentic. The service is nice and friendly, you can practice Spanish here if you like though they also serve you in English if you prefer that. I am eating here everytime I am coming to the bay area.

Came for lunch on a Fri. Great location, great food and service. Amicable staff was attentive with quick service. Nothing special about the food but the enchiladas were good with the chicken moist and sauce complementary, beans were prefectly moist. Clean eatablishment but only on street parking.

We ordered a feast and it was impossible not to finish. The food was authentic and delectable, some of the best homemade Mexican I’ve had recently. The shrimp tacos and cow tongue tacos were especially fantastic, was were the mulitas which I had never tried. They seated us even though it was close to closing and not once did they hurry us. Incredibly kind and welcoming servers, highly recommend this spot.

This place is delicious. I’ve tried the Burritos, Tacos and Tortas and none have let me down. The staff are very friendly but busy! I enjoy the outdoor seating. La Corona is located in the heart of Japan Town with the light traffic, it’s nice to see a slower pace of the city. Be sure and tip well 😉

New Waitress did an excellent job. Her Trainer coached gently from a distance. Cooks pleasantly looked my way from time to time. Always for just two seconds, but with joyful eyes and an engaging smile. Then they got right back to work creating excellent dishes for the restaurant patrons. These excellent cooks kept busy without any inappropriate language or rowdy noise. I had a wonderful experience. La Corona Taqueria is the only Mexican restaurant in Japantown. Prices are very affordable.

So under rated! Food is amazing! Prices are amazing! Parking isn't ideal but its worth it. Lucky we found Parking right in front of the restaurant ,we caught someone taking off just in time. Its low key inside. Soft music, not all loud and blaring at most restaurants. Let me tell you. There was only one waitress but she was Amazingggg handling what I counted 5 tables! She was prompt and so sweet and nice. Excellent with refills and asking if everything was good and our needs. Definitely coming back!

The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. My husband had the Carne Asada plate, and I had the combo sope, enchilada, and chile rellanos. It was a lot of food!
