Pupuseria Mi Chalateca - San Jose - Photo album

Surprised at how quickly I was able to get service despite how crowded it was. The Pupusas were delicious and the Horchata was cold and refreshing. Table space limited.
The Pambazo was large and quite tasty, but after eating it, I had heartburn. My favorite dish is the mixed one; everything on it was delicious.👌🏻 Highly Recommended!
I was waiting for my laundry and decided to eat something nearby. I wasn’t expecting delicious loaded nachos. I ordered el pastor with it. It was delicious and satisfying. It’s a small place but has huge flavors. I will definitely come back again.
This was my first time here and what made me choose this place was the pictures of the food. So I got there nachos with chicken, the tortillas were nice and crispy.. they didn't get soggy which means they make their own chips. The chicken was very good, juicy, flavorful, grilled and chopped in bite
Food is delicious! I ordered the mini quesadillas with asada.
Love their pupusas! There's so many varieties to choose from and their curtido pairs so well with the pupusas. There's also a rice flour option for the pupusas which I was excited to try. The rice flour pupusa was a bit too hard/crispy in my opinion and I prefer the traditional version where it's so
We haven’t been here in years, which is a shame because the pupusas are extraordinary and very affordable. Lots of choices, this time we went for a Pork, a Bean & Cheese, and a Chorizo & Potato. The Pork was nicely seasoned. Everything is super fresh. Very extensive menu beyond pupusas which we have
This place was fantastic. My boyfriend and I ordered 4 items and each of them were so delicious we barely spoke over lunch cause we couldn’t stop eating. The horchata was the perfect sweetness and tasted fresh. Would definitely come again next time we’re in town.
This place has the best popusas in town! They are always busy and trying to keep up with the orders so I recommend take out as the best option.
So freaking good we devoured it before photos. That kind of tasty. Pupusas were generously stuffed and truly delicious. Pumpkin pork beans cheese. The cardita cabbage slaw was tangy and the red dipping sauce so good. Not spicy. The Quesdillas Guanaquitas with chicken were outrageously juicy, stuf
Ate Pambazo Chorizo (Mexican sausage) good value, tasty, quick to be served and Pollo Guisado (Chicken stew with potatoes) nice, enjoyed.
First time trying El Salvadoran food. WOW! I was really impressed. Definitely on my list to visit more often. We had 4-5 different meals (of course I forgot the names), and everything was AMAZING! I was really surprised with pickled cabbage slaw. Really complemented food! Pupusas are just to die fo
Delicious tacos (try the suadero) but what I generally come here for is the Horchata! In my humble opinion, the best in the south bay! They serve a 32oz for about $6. This spot is def worth a visit! You'll also find all kinds of memorabilia from El Salvador on the walls.
Incredible food. Long wait time if you order for take out. I recommend calling ahead but well worth the wait. Steak and cheese pupusas are insanely good.
I have been coming here since I was about nine years old. My first visits where at the now closed closed location near the San Jose State University campus. Don't be deceived by their outdated decor or atmosphere vibes. In the various times, I've ordered food the wait time has been no longer than 30
