If I feel like an interesting roll I might veer in here on impulse if I was in line of sight, other wise I'd go to Fugi around the corner. I really enjoy the decor here, very well done theme wise. The fish this Thursday at 6pm was good, but not impressive. This is probably only due to how busy it isn't. And i don't care for the mounds of wasabi preloaded into Nigiri, it destroys the delicate flavor of ika and i can do that on my own if I'd like. It's like pre smothering my eggs with hot sauce, it's a little disrespectful even if I might do it myself . . . I'm sitting right there if the chef wanted to suggest the option. The rolls are a little more varied and creative than most, so that might be a plus if you like complex rolls with sauces. However for me they are too wide and wet to effectively eat in a traditional manner, not that rolls are really traditional. If Fugi was closed for some reason I'd definitely come back, but I currently don't really have any plans to. Good but not great, and with a better alternative nearby.

Great sushi place. Actually some of the best I've had. The staff is friendly too :)

A bit expensive, but it is downtown. Try the Snowman roll or the Louisiana Hot Link Roll!
