Petra Mediterranean Pizza And Grill - San Luis Obispo - Photo album

This is one of San Luis Obispo's most beloved restaurants. From Pizza to Gyros and salads, Petra has an expansive menu. The food quality is high, and it's easy to customize nearly any dish to your specific tastes. The chicken, beef, and gyro sandwiches are a favorite, and easy to get to go for a hik
Petra is an absolute treasure on the Central Coast, a culinary haven that transforms ordinary days into extraordinary experiences. From the first bite to the last, Petra's food is a symphony of flavors that elevates the mood, turning even the gloomiest day into a radiant one. Every item on the menu
It’s all good. Huge pita sandwiches. Wonderful homemade sauces. The pita bread is light and fresh. The Persian ice cream sandwiches were big an fun, recommended the Saffron and Rose Water one!
Delicious. I enjoyed the small gyros pizza and added jalapeños. Great vibes on the covered parking lot “patio” (a holdover from COVID’s outdoor-only restrictions). The dolmas side order was tasty, though unexceptional. The self-serve sauces bar is a nice touch. The crushed pepperoncine is particular
Too bad that they don't allow 4.5 stars in the rating system. The menu selections looked great, I shared a Gyros-Pizza 😋 Parking would be better if it didn't cost me nearly $5 in quarters for an hour at the parking meters - Really. The servers were quite friendly and food arrived hot & quickly. B
I came to this place on a Friday evening looking for something hearty and homie. I've been on the road for about a week, and just wanted a family kind of meal. Petra hit the spot. There was a line when I arrived, and it was hard to find parking. That's definitely the downside of this location It
I'm not a huge fan of Mediterranean food so I always go with their pizzas. Some people say it's the best pizza in CA it's that good! $11 for a decent 1 person pizza. Great tea there. Lots of tvs for the games. It is super hard to find parking though and kind of hot inside. All in all 8/10
Hands down the food was Amazing! My family and I really really enjoyed it. Great and fast service. Love the set up of the restaurant and most of all it’s a very Clean place. Friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. All in all if you haven’t tried this restaurant you’re missing out in delicious au
When I lived in SLO back in 2016 this was one of my favorite places to go eat. I went back over thanksgiving week 2023, still exceeds expectations. Such good food and the staff is so helpful and kind. I brought my sister-in-laws here and all our kids, ranging from 2 months-11 years old, and I feel l
Parking: street parking. We went for dinner at 7PM so there were plenty of street parking. Efficient service: one orders at the counter and then find a table. There is a separate line for phone orders pick up. Drinks: a good selection of beer and non-alcoholic drinks. Food: excellent! Humm
Always amazing food. Keep trying new foods and never disappointed. Generous servings. My partner gets the steak kabob or the tri tip pita. I get various vegan dishes. They also have a wall of specialty sodas and beers, and serve beer and wine. Service is usually pretty quick. Order at the counter an
I like Petra and I get that lots of college and young people come there for good food and a super casual atmosphere. I do miss the feeling of a more traditional restaurant. The owner used to greet us and give us specials. It just felt more homey and warm than it does now. The food was good, but the
I was going to give Petra five stars because I thought the place was great and the food was inexpensive and very good, but they lost the order for the pizza my wife ordered and only when we went up to ask about the delay, we found they lost everything. It’s a good thing I had asked for a receipt or
Loved this place when I lived in SLO so decided to make a visit again! Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - we went around 11 AM and the food was surprisingly dry compared to what we had previously. Gyro pizza was a little over baked so the crust was really dry but the sun-dried tomatoes gave a nice acidity so
Solid, Mediterranean food in a no fuss atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The lamb and chicken plates were tasty, had good portion sizes for the price, and all the sauce and side options (salad or fries, fresh pita, hummus, tzaziki, garlic sauce). For as quickly as we got our f
So glad we tried this place when we visited SLO. My wife always loves Mediterranean food, but it’s not usually my favorite. This place makes it right and now I like Mediterranean food! We shared the two-kabob plate and it was more than enough food for the two of us. Their cuts of meat are very gener
I went there in afternoon and it wasn’t crowded but still really liked the vibe. You go inside order your food and find a spot to see. I ordered lamb shawarma with rice and salad! Came with warm pita bread and everything was good. Definitely recommend this place!
Always a treat! Everything here is so flavorful! I had the chicken bowl, sister had the lamb shawarma, amazing! We also had the lentil soup which really hit the spot, hearty and super tasty. We had so much leftover that I made an additional three meals out of it!
