The food was fine. Servers were good and nice. The restaurant was clean. Prices are a bit high. There was just no wow factor to make this a five star meal.
Love this place everytime I visit, regular dinner or a casual date. Their service is never to complain.
I've only come here a hand full of times but everytime I've come it's always been delicious. The staff are always nice too :)

This place is conducive to large parties and has great food. A lot of the menu items are perfect for sharing so make sure to order a couple items for variety to share amongst the table. They have exceptional cocktails too. The entire menu is good, from start to finish. Definitely a few steps above your average pizza joint.
Went with friends who like it there. Place was medium busy, we went early, and after ordering it took over an hour to get our food. Watched the chefs, very slow motion(i have restaurant experience), go faster! My lasagna was very dry, obviously sat under a warmer or in the oven too long; taste was average. One person had chicken, was tasty and good, but chicken in an Italian place? Why?
Good friendly service and good food. Fair prices for SLO. My GF and I went here on a whim and it turned out to be a great date. We ordered the zucchini pasta dish with shrimp and a vegetarian artichoke pizza and both were good. We also ordered a cranberry refresher and an alcoholic sangria and both were good. I would definitely come here again. Oh, also you get bread with olive oil and spices in it that were tasty.
We went in around 8:30, 9pm right after Barnes and Noble. What a great decision that was. Ana/Anna was our server. Great personality, great attention to detail, her mood and her personality made dinner a great experience. Ana does something so few waiters or waitresses ever do, she squats down to speak to you at eye level. That is something that I find is very polite and makes me feel comfortable. I have to say that her service was an amazing the food was stupendous I truly love this CPK, please come enjoy your dining experience here.
Even though they were busy we were seated immediately and our server was at our table within five minutes. All food was flavorful and well prepared. The background noise level was low considering the size of the crowd.
It's great here. It's a regular California Pizza Kitchen but it's a great place to go and have a nice dinner with a friend or family member. It's also conveniently located to where you can catch a movie right before or after dinner or even take a stroll through downtown SLO.
I tried the chicken flat bread thing from the small meals menu and it was very good! The free bread was yummy and the olive oil dip was excellent. They lost my friends ticket so her salad took a long time to come out but they gave it to her no charge!
The food is delicious, my husband and I shared the California Club, I highly recommend it. The kids and Grandma had Shrimp Alfredo and loved it. The service is good, very friendly staff, we will continue to eat at this restaurant!
The pizza is absolutely amazing, its has a crunchy crust baked to perfection. Every ingredient goes well with what they do. The bread in the beginning is really good too. Their drinks like lemonades are A1. The dessert is even better. Warm butter cake with whipped cream and ice cream on top is the best thing you can get and dont want to miss out on.
Omg, did a combo thai salad with the pizza. Date and I came in super close to closing and we didn't feel pressured at all. I forget the servers name but he was super nice and recommended the avocado with the salad. Even though the menu says that as well he sold it, it was very good and I cant wait to try some other dishes. Thank you for the dinner and great experience. It was a little pricey but the late night ambiance was more than worth it. High Five!
Good pizza but understaffed. Service was slow but our waitress did her best. Chicken picatta was fine but felt like something you could make at home. Sicilian pizza was more special and savory.
I just had a great experience this morning. I'm a volunteer for UCP of San Luis Obispo. My friends had an excellent time with Rich and George. The pizza taste is amazing and the dessert too. I definitely recommend it to my friends. I will come again soon.👍🏻🍕🍕
It's honestly no different than any other cpk, really. I've never had any issues here, it's a good place to bring a group of people to eat. Usually, when I come here, we post up at the bar and have a few drinks before we go see a movie. That's the best use of this place, tbh, but the food isn't bad either. Place is usually clean, staff friendly, wait minimal (although it can become prohibitive when busy, I've skipped out on plans to eat here after finding out there was a 2 hour wait).
Staff was extremely busy. Most other restaurants were closed on Christmas eve. There were large family groups, including ours. They managed to take care of everyone despite the crowds. They kept smiling and checking on people's welfare. Considering the crowds, I think they did an excellent job.
A sweet spot to hang out with the elders of the town. CPK is a bit overpriced for pizza that is lower quality than dominos. The service is great, our waiter checked up on us multiple times, the area was clean and wide and pizzas came fast.
