VEGAN OPTIONS! This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a minute. The food is absolutely fresh, flavorful, and authentic. When you pull up it’s a little hidden and looks like a whole in the wall type of restaurant and I had a feeling it was going to be bomb, it exceeded our expectations! I can’t reiterate how fresh the food was. The wait was the perfect amount, the service was nice. I got the Aloo Gobi and it was so delicious! They have plenty of vegan options, you just have to state that you want it vegan. On the vegetarian page of the menu they have all the options you can make vegan! Thank you for an amazing meal!

The food is very good. The carrot based desert is the best I have ever tried in all Indian restaurants. Also very pleasure to talk with the chief and learn the effort they made to prepare food and spices. The food does taste better with layers of flavors from complex natural ingredients.

I haven't had any good Indian food since I moved to the central coast. The fact that my girlfriend and I were the only people eating during lunch service is criminal. This is the best restaurant that I've tried on the coast. Better than the Hitching Post or Jocko's or any other local spots. This is a must try and I will be coming back sooner rather than later.

Awesome high-quality authentic food with no GMO and not too spicy. Clean atmosphere and hospitable service. The prices are cheaper than the other Indian restaurant and the seating much more comfortable. Many choices for Vegans and they can also custom make any food they offer to fit Vegan Criteria. I loved their Garlic Nan Bread and their tasty Mango drink. It is the first Indian food Restaurant I've been that didn't give me bloating or heartburn. I LL definitely be back for more soon.

Ridiculously flavorful food!! Had the wonderful Vegetable Samosa with an assortment of delicious sauces for an appetizer, left me wanting more of them. The main course was Barah Kabab, umm wow!! Super tender with brilliant flavors and came to the table sizzling. Then I tried my wife's Chicken Tikka Masala and it blew my mind on how amazing the curry was!!! Definitely what I'm ordering next time. Authentic as it gets. The atmosphere was delightfully relaxing. Thank you Kamal for the wonderful service. You were wonderful to talk to and I loved hearing you talk about the mural and prints.

Jewel of India is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. The food is some of the best I've had in the San Luis Obispo area, and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. The staff is also super friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to help you choose the perfect dishes. I highly recommend anything on the menu all of food made from local fresh veggies daily my wife and ordered two dishes. Both dishes are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and the flavors are amazing. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the sauces are rich and flavorful. I also love the naan bread, which is made fresh in the tandoor oven. In addition to the great food and service, Jewel of India also has a beautiful dining room. The decor is elegant and inviting, and it's the perfect place to enjoy a special meal with friends or family. Overall, I highly recommend Jewel of India to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere is all top-notch.

I have found this place on google. Called for pick up food was really great. Decent pricing. Can’t complaint about the food. Tried to pace another take out. Called more than7 times, finally someone answer the phone and told me that sorry we are closed because we do have party( private event) going on. I do respect that but just want to let you know that party didn’t book the place same day. You must have made the booking in advance. Probably customer who do order food often from you guys, tries to call or May be driven to your place and found that you are close. Just a suggestion to the owner or the management. If you have booked your restaurant for any private event do me too. That online or other platform. Your customer will be aware off. You may get some business as well that your place doe’s organize private event. Once again food was really great, traveling back and was craving for more great food from from your place. Ether luck next time. Thanks

This is some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had and I’ve lived all over the country!!! It’s so freaking delicious! Especially the Korma dishes and the tandoori chicken. So amazing!!! Whoever gave low stars must be talking about service (not that I’ve had a bad experience) cause the food is INCREDIBLE!!

THE BEST FOOD. Thoroughly enjoyable. Authentic, fresh, cooked to order. Beautifully blended spices in every dish we tried. I have eaten Indian cuisine in every city I visit. This place is right here in SLO. Tonight was my 3rd visit and happy to report that the food and service consistently satisfying. I do like that the restaurant is super clean but I am fond of Indian culture, color and vibe. I would love some of the old school ambience in the decor. But todays more modern ascetic probably has a wider appeal. Lovely family cooks and serves with attention to detail. Even grandchild ate well. (Little fresh chicken pieces with garlic paste and ginger). Try the fresh garlic nan. Yum. Please go meet these nice folks and enjoy their delicious offerings. Also generous pour on the wine by the glass. Bottles available.

This restaurant is indeed a jewel in the central coast, authentic tasty Indian food made with organic, or at minimum non GMO ingredients. The spices and yogurt are made in house from scratch.... How rare is that!!! Don't expect buffet but do anticipate quality. Come here to enjoy and savor a good meal, while appreciating the owner's effort and dedication to create this SLO(w) food restaurant.

This is the best Indian restaurant in San Luis Obispo. The restaurant is extremely clean and the food is delicious. The owner has done a great job to create an atmosphere to make you feel comfortable so people can enjoy their meal. The big painting on the wall and the smaller pictures give you a sense of calm and peace as you enjoy your food which is made with just the right amount of spices. They also offer masala chai as complementary with the buffet. They also have a TV on the wall which plays Indian movie songs which gives you a glimpse of India and Indian culture. Check out the pictures and give this place a try. I guarantee you will absolutely LOVE this place. The people who work here are extremely nice and always have a smile on their face which shows that they are happy to serve their customers. Thank you Jewel of India for offering the best Indian food on the Central Coast.

Great food. We were 17 people including 7 kids and had requested Jain food (No Roots + Vegetarian) in advance. They made sure we had fresh food when we got there... only seating capacity is an issue here... owner came out to make sure we were happy with the food... The only thing is they charge for lemons 🍋 as well
