Scout coffee is a famous coffee chain with this been their second location (locals called it Scout 2) and it is always a must stop for alumni Located in the same plaza as rite aid, near campus many students come here and visit to study with hipster vibes in the background. Their drinks are amazing with cool latte art on it. Would recommend the honey lavender latte or if you’re feeling not coffee their honey tea bowl is also really good. They have an assortment of pastries as well and I would recommend their almond croissant! Parking is plenty in the lot and plenty of tables but might be hard to get as this place is bustling

I tried the hot chocolate at Scout Coffee, and it was really good! The chocolate taste was strong and yummy. I loved how thick and creamy the whipped cream was. The way they served it looked nice too. I'd give it a 9/10 – a tasty treat that I'll definitely have again.

Seriously good coffee here! We had the seasonal flavors, which was like Maple Brown Sugar/ Salted iced latte! No icky syrupy flavors and not overly sweetened. Nice smooth espresso flavor. The cafe itself is cute and the baristas are friendly!!

Solid coffee shop with great coffee, vibes, pasties and merch! Went today and tried some stuff. Out of what we got, they had a great hot vanilla latte and hot chocolate. For real, the hot chocolate...get it. You won't regret it. The pastry selection was amazing. Tons of selection and they can heat the pastry . I loved the morning bun. Perfectly flaky, a slight chew to the dough, and tossed in a cinnamon sugar mix. Not too sweet in my opinion. The savory chives scone was also really good, I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely go again. There are a ton of seats and the natural light from all the windows is beautiful. It gets really busy around 9am. So for those who want to work and chill, get there early. They open 6:30am-6:30pm.

Scout is THE best coffee shop in SLO. Sunny atmosphere, upbeat service, and AMAZING pastries. The pastries are some of the best I have ever had- incredibly high quality. Better than most bakeries. The almond croissant filled with blackberry jam and the morning buns are my favorite, although everything is good. For a unique coffee, recommend trying the wilderness syrup— I haven’t had anything like that before. Highly recommend stopping by if you are visiting!

We went to two of the Scout locations. Both made excellent beverages. The downtown location offered some yummy gluten free goodies and the Scout cookie (not GF) was so good. Can see why it is so popular. Worth a visit when you are in town.

This is a super nice coffee shop with relaxing vibes and delicious coffee. I tried large hot americano and it comes with 4 shots of espresso. Creme was super deep and thick. Great flavor came out from this basic espresso coffee and it was at proper hot temperature. Decor is nice and they sell gift items and coffee related accessories and their brand merchandise. Since this outlet is close by the university, most were students studying or watching videos and playing music.

It’s time for supporting locally owned businesses and Scout Coffee stands out above the rest! From the warm welcome greeting as you enter to the fabulous array of fresh baked pastries to the menu of creative coffee brews.

Nice bright and airy cafe with plenty of seating and college kids working on their laptops. A tad bit too much retail merchandising for my taste, but damn good coffee! The best pour over coffee I had out of three cafes I tried. The scones were also excellent! I'd go there everyday if I could.

Loved this place. Great coffee. Got a little frustrated with one of the hipster millennials working there. I was trying to buy espresso beans and was asking what kind of beans they were. Wouldn’t help me find which beans they were. Eventually straightened it all out.

The hippinest college coffee joint this side of here! Merchandising up the wazoo but in this day and age I completely understand. I hope they are able to stick around and don't succumb to the monopolies that are overtaking the world. Great atmosphere and a really friendly staff mixed with good well roasted blends makes for quite the enjoyable coffee joint.

This place is quite excellent. The only feedback I have is that the house made “wilderness” syrup is absolutely disgusting. I bought it for my wife because she likes new flavors and we both took one sip and threw it away. We are both coffee lovers and for the sake of coffee drinkers everywhere please take this off your menu and burn the recipe!

Ordered to-go coffee for a conference in one of those large 96 oz containers. Coffee was good, but the order was not ready at the appointed time more often than not. Also could not order it online and had to nake a separate trip to collect the receipt. Hate to support Starbucks, but getting the coffee carrier across the street is much easier.

Great classic macchiato served in an adorable ceramic cup paired with sparkling water. Love all the pastries, especially Scout cookie and banana muffin.

Beautiful place 🤩 Love their decor, it has a cool vibe to it. Also love their selection of products for sale. Today we tried their Pistachio Lemon cookies and OMG, those are so so good!! You have to try'em. Affogato and Mocha were good too! Outdoor seating is available. This place follows social distancing guidelines. They keep it very clean. It's our favorite detour and spot to stop for refreshing coffee on the way SB/NB 101.

Cool spot for coffee. Very clean, simple outdoor-chic theme with good vibes and friendly service. Most of the customers are straight from campus so expect a young, hip crowd. The wilderness syrup was a treat and went along with the rad setting. Really cool merch too: could Gabe spent a lot of money herd... 😆 I got the Gibraltar (small, strong latte) with a bit of the wilderness syrup. Bro got a coffee and gave it a thumbs up. Patio felt good in the sun and made for a nice pit stop down the PCH.
