Were out of creme puffs n made us a special creme puffs with the puff pastry.. Yummy!!!
We were looking for pink frosted doughnuts to celebrate breakfast after my daughter came home form the hospital. They were so friendly, frosted a dozen just for us and gave my older kids a treat while we waited.
I like this donut place because they really have a fresh donut with crisp outside for cake donuts. Also make a wonderful apple fritter. Line gets long weekday mornings. They social distance and are friendly. Run out of donuts by 10 am on weekends occasionally, otherwise I would give 5 stars
I just discovered Crispy's during the pandemic about 2 months ago. What a treat! The staff is always friendly, and the quality of the oil they use seems to be more fresh than other donut shops. At least they may not recycle the oil they use for frying as much as other donut shops? Either way the freshness in each bite really is apparent!
The main reason I'm commenting here is the CRONUT! What a creation! it's ruined me! It's all I want to eat now when it comes to donuts! Layered crispy flakiness with a light glaze! Mon DIEU, I'm in Love!!
Great donut shop! I am a former owner/baker of donut shops so I can tell when a shop is putting out a great product and this one is! They're using good quality mixes, they've got a baker who knows how to properly fry donuts, and importantly, they are cleaning and filtering their oil regularly. Baking donuts is a lot harder than most people think, so show these guys some love and appreciation! Better than average covid protective procedures and friendly, helpful staff. Go!
They have the BEST donuts in town but if you're going to get some then you need to get there early for the best selection Peterson's is great for the size and open longer hours but even they can't beat CRISPY'S
I've been a customer for over 30years and I love their donuts they are so fresh and tasty. Of course couldn't wait to have one.

WOW! Best donuts in San Marcos. If you're not ordering a blueberry donut, you're messing up ;) . I originally got one just because I had space and wanted to try something new. Looks are deceiving. It was the best donut in the box. I'd also strongly recommend the maple buttermilk. The place can get busy and if you want the good donuts, be sure to get there early. Keep up the great work Crispy's!
