Xiaolongbao is a type of steamed bun or baozi from eastern China, especially Shanghai and Wuxi. It's only done right if the hot soup is contained in the steamed dough with the meat and veggie filling. If it's done right (As it only is here as far as I know in Northern California), then be careful you don't burn your mouth from the hot soup inside. This is heaven for Chinese food foodies. Don't go for the atmosphere. It's like Grandma's small kitchen at home. Go for the food!!!!!

Great authentic Chinese home cooking. (to me anyway) Try the steamed dumplings. Great!

It's a beautiful restaurant ... the food is excellent and the staff is so nice and generous. It's my favorite restaurant in San Mateo!
