Staff will serve a basket of breads and you can order meatballs to eat together. Pizza and pasta are also recommended.
Overall experience - food is great, portion is large enough and service is good as well! The price is reasonable.

Neighborhood gem tucked away from the bustle is both solid for Italian classics and big on character. Eggplant parmesan and ravioli can be combined for a hearty entree. Expansive menu covers salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, and seafood to veal mains. Get the creme brulee if available.

My husband and I reserved Gaspare’s side dining room for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Daniel, the owner, was so responsive and informative throughout the planning process. On the night of our event, the restaurant staff were so kind and attentive and made the night flow so smoothly, and the food was great. If you are looking for a restaurant in Marin to host a private event, I cannot recommend Gaspare’s enough!

The atmosphere of Gaspares was wonderful. It was warm and inviting. Our waitress was warm and helpful. I had chicken alfredo and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was moist and the flavor was the best I've had anywhere. I couldn't find fault with the location the food or the atmosphere if I tried

We dropped in to get some calamari and a take out pizza. We ordered the Terra Linda Trojan pizza. Excellent service and the pizza rivals those in the East. Great ingredients is the secret to good italian food and they don't cut corners. We devoured the pizza. But mind you, we are Vikings and that's how we roll!

I love Italian food so I have a high bar for quality fare. Gaspare's has totally delivered on multiple occasions now. My partner and I have ordered take out twice now and been in the restaurant once. Last time she had the Penne Alla Vodka with Spicy Sausage and Arugula, and I had the house made Ravioli filled with veal, which was the nightly special recommended by our server. Both dishes were fresh, tasty, and unique. The house bread was also delicious. The pizza is American style and good for what it is. I appreciate more of a Napolitano style pie, of which I am still searching for in Marin. All things considered this place is a gem. Well done Gaspare's!

This is one of the best restaurants I & my husband have been to in a long time!!! The service was phenomenal! The wait staff were excellent! Our drinks never went empty, the bread basket provided never went empty! They were very attentive & super nice! As we left we complemented the manager on the food, drinks & especially the service. OH! & the FOOD.....was SOOOO delicious! We were planning our next visit before we even left the restaurant. Thank you Gaspare's for a perfect experience!! See you all soon!!

Great Italian place in San Rafael! Our first dine-in experience was during covid so the dine-in was more of a dine-out. Servers are always wearing masks and keep a little bit if distance.
My favorite dish is the seafood risotto- so creamy with all of the seafood you would crave! Happy hour is a dollar off alcoholic drinks. Calamari fritti is perfectly fried. Chocolate mousse is always delicious. We'll definitely come back to hang out with friends after the pandemic is over!

I like this place, it has a good feel to it and the food is quite decent. I often order salmon on my insalata mista and it is cooked to perfection every time. The pizza has only improved through the years and always satisfies. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with fun and interesting décor. Full bar has a friendly vibe. I recommend for families, couples, friends, or even "da solo"!

Souses and service are great. However pasta tends to be overcooked. Even if you specifically ask for al dente it still comes out overcooked. Therefore it's 4 stars. Otherwise it would be 5.

Excellent pizza. It's a thin crispy crust, the sauce has a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. Very friendly staff. Our server from Tennessee was really fun and took great care of us. Nice selection of wines.

The pizza is fantastic. I like to top with ricotta, caramelized onion, pancetta, and fresh basil. The crust is really good quality, nice and thin, and toppings are evenly distributed and finely applied, everything in a single bite. Great cocktails, great pizza, great service. And there's goofy grapes on the ceiling and a goofy jukebox. I love it. Enjoy!

Short drive off US101, very popular neighborhood Pizzeria. Good Italian food, known for nice service, and can be happily crowded or quietly non-crowded. Open long hours. Friendly, welcoming ambiance.

The food always seems fresh. Everything is well made. And it is a good place to bring family or friends. I have been going there for a long time, so I have no complaints. I definitely reccomend the mozzarella sticks they have, same with the cheesy garlic bread. Also about the garlic it is fresh, with that being said it has a strong but rich taste to it. The marinara they use for the garlic bread and mozzarella sticks brings a very good and deligant flavor to it. Overall I have never been disappointed with Gaspares. I also recommend getting a shirley temple if you are interested.
