Our family LOVES Puentez! We’ve been eating here for 25 years. We love the family owned atmosphere, and the food is delicious. Sometimes you have to wait a bit but it’s worth it!!!

Great burrito place and I think it’s the best in marin. Staff are really friendly and food is made great only issue is they only have one person making burritos at a time so sometimes it takes awhile. Overall solid spot

I adore the old school style burritos here. Simple, straight forward and full of flavor. Their green hot sauce is perfection. Service is quick and efficient. The family clearly has their system down. The only downside is stopping in when the high school across the street gets out…then it’s mobbed!

Good burritos but definitely overpriced. I got an average sized, “super” bean burrito w/guacamole for $10. Their reddish colored beans are good but just be prepared to spend about $15 if you eat meat and like sour cream or guacamole because they aren’t included on the super.

This is my favorite spot in San Rafael for Tacos. My 2 children swear by the burritos. We've been going there since 1997. That's 26 years of delicious Mexican Food and locally family owned!!!

A great little gem of place I wish I had discovered earlier. The burritos are super tasty n top notch! You'll pay a dollar or two more for a burrito, but it's worth it. The service is solid and they have a huge outdoor dining area. Closed on Sundays, but they are open late (9pm) Monday to Saturday. The fact they're open late and their food is tasty is a big win-win for me. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I've been coming to Puentez for 12 years, since I was in high school. Every time I come home I go to Puentez AT LEAST once. Excellent food, excellent family, 11/10, Puentez is the best.

This is hands-down the best burrito I've ever had in my life and I have been all over Mexico, Spain, and Colombia. It's also a 100% local family owned business. They are currently open for pickup and dine-in. Try the Super Deluxe with Carnitas, Black Beans, and a Spinach tortilla. Support them! Thank you Aldo!!

The super deluxe burritos were absolutely fabulous. We have been meaning to try this restaurant for some time. We arrived to pick up our takeout and there was a line 15 people deep. Will be back very soon.

San Rafael may have the best Mexican food around, so there is a lot of competition. With that said, this may be my favorite spot. The burrito I had was phenomenal -- very fresh and well priced, good size! I know San Jose Taqueria gets a lot of praise around these parts (which is well deserved), but I prefer this place, personally.

I ate here several times a week for years when I lived in San Rafael and it was always delicious! My favorite chicken mole of anywhere! There is almost always easy parking available in the Montecito expansion parking lot on the east side of the center (don't bother competing with the Trader Joe's customers in the main lot) and the lunchtime line can be large but it moves quickly and the food is WELL worth it! You'll understand the popularity as soon as you bite into your meal. Best Mexican food in Marin.

Cool little spot, easy to find "once you finally find parking". Line gets a little long during lunch hour which is a good sign. The place could use a bit of "dusting" or mild cleaning here and there. Lots of interesting photos and decorations that are welcoming. And the staff is nice and seems like a cool family owned business. But let's get to what's important, the food. The fully loaded burrito, is called the "super burrito" everywhere else. But here, it's the deluxe super burrito. They are a bit small in my opinion for the price but the ingredients are savory. Had the grilled chicken and tried the steak. Both great. And I like the fact that they have 4 different flavors of tortillas, so it's easy to customize the right burrito for you. But I was disappointed that they didn't have a salsa bar or at least a few kinds of salsas or spicier options. Pico de gallo was bland. But its Marin, can't expect too much authenticity. They claim to have the best burritos in town. But I beg to differ. I've yet to find my favorite Mexican taqueria around here.
