Our end-of-the-month date nights never disappoint with The Corner Cafe's French Onion Friday. It's the best French Onion soup my husband and I have had! And the Cuban is delicious too. Chef Michael and his team are always friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to try his house-made sangria. My favorite is the peach mango!
The Corner Cafe is a excellent place to dine. Excellent customer service. We spoke with the owner and he gave us a brief history of his Cafe. I ordered the onion soup along with a Turkey bacon half pressed sandwich. The best combo dinner that I ever ate. During my next visit I will definitely be back👍🇺🇸👍
The Corner Cafe is OPEN!!! Fridays Only between 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. My husband and I Love Chef Michael and his homemade, very delicious soups, salads and sandwiches! Everything is always served hot and fresh in a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The Corner Cafe is our favorite place to visit in Historic Downtown Sanford.

Always a great experience at The Corner Cafe from the minute we walk in until the minute we leave! The French onion soup and the Cuban sandwich were fantastic. We also received mini complimentary desserts which were also delicious. Highly recommend stopping here for a nice afternoon in Downtown Sanford.
What an amazing little gem! The food was above expectations, and the owner was so friendly. The food menu seems standard at first glance, but WOW! What an awesome spin on the norm. Best French onion soup EVER! Great service, great food; I can't wait to return soon. I highly recommend!
I came here to historic downtown Sanford for lunch before I checked in at the Auto Train. The Corner Cafe was such a delight! Free street parking right outside. I highly recommend the French onion soup and half a Cuban sandwich. I ordered it after taking the advice of another reviewer, and it definitely did not disappoint!
This place is the definition of an independent gem. Michael and his team are fantastic, and this really is a place that thrives off the community and regulars. It was nice to be reminded that we eat out for atmosphere and socialization, and we can’t just get take out forever and expect everything to be fine for the business. They need us more than ever, so I would encourage anyone who's scared or unsure that you will be perfectly safe and welcome to dine in, dine outside, or order to go. This is a great luncheon spot. It is right smack in the middle of downtown Sanford. The menu comprises salads, sandwiches, and soups. The soups are made from scratch and delicious. On this occasion, I had the tomato soup and Cuban sandwich, which were excellent. They also provide excellent coffee, including great espressos.
Quaint restaurant. Staff is very friendly and seems to know everyone, if they dont know you they make you feel like they do. I had a tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Great pairing on a cool winter day. The tomato soup is not your traditional creamy tomato soup. It's more like a vegetable soup, tomatoes, spinach, onions, full of flavor. I was surprised with this great little cobbler dessert. It is a little pricey but big portions.
I'm excited to try an actual sandwich next time, the staff was raving about their chicken sandwich.

Sanford can be proud to have this business on their main street. The most friendly and accommodating people I have encountered in a long time.
The great food and diverse menu also added to the 5-star rating. First visit, but will definitely be back.
Always an enjoyable experience with Chef Michael at the "helm". Excellent food.
Don't forget the carry out service. Yes you can reconstruct the one and only French Onion soup bowl at home!!
I really enjoy sitting on the outside patio being served sweet iced tea and this fabulous salad prepared by chef Micheal. The food here is very creative and delicious. There only open for lunch but it worth it.
Made jury duty less painful! I had the french onion soup and cuban sandwich combo. Both were delicous! Awesome personal service also. Highly recommend!
such a nice place and service! had a cuban sandwich, an expresso and they even gave me a free mini keylime pie which was absolutely delicious! 10/10 would recommend
This is an adorable little restaurant very quaint. The owner/chef greeted us when we walked in and gave us a rundown of the menu and took our order before we were seated at a window table. He suggested the French Onion soup and Cuban which was definitely the thing to have. I ordered water and it was purified filtered water served in a wine bottle for refills. Great presentation there. The French Onion soup was served in a bread bowl topped with cheese. It was the best French onion soup I ever had. The Cuban was pretty fantastic too. The perfect blend of flavors and those pickles had just the right amount of spice to them. The owner kept the vibe going with great conversations. This place is a little jewel. Great food great service great atmosphere, it’s definitely going to be my go to in Sanford.
