Oh My Goodness! This place is delicious 😋 bk in Orlando for a few days. After church, we stopped by this sweet spot! I had the goat, and friends had ox tails. The food was delicious! The goat was tender, rice wasn't dry, cabbage was seasoned & my friend said the cornbread was like cake..so good. It was plenty, a little pricey but worth every penny. We sat outside..very good. If you have not discovered this sweet spot, then scroll downtown Sanford..it's worth the stroll!

My ex introduced me to this place several years ago. It's my favorite place to get jerk chicken. It's always so good and flavorful. I always get the large plate so I can have leftovers. I don't think I've ever gotten anything else before besides the patties, but I've heard that all of their food is good. It seems to be a very popular place with the locals as well. It's a small restaurant, you can dine in but I usually always take my food to go. I highly recommend this place if you want authentic jamaican food!

Hi, I am a Family Nurse Practitioner who works from home, so I do have time to cook, that's my point. One day, I went to try this place out, then I went back again a second time because of the food and the service. They provided EXCELLENT Service based on my opinion!! The food is also very tasty and true to the Jamaican foods. I love it!! I highly recommend this place.

The waiter was very attentive to our needs. It was a slow time of the day and the chef came out personally to make sure everything was enjoyable. The portion size was good and the taste reminded me of home, in the Caribbean. Prices were reasonable. Music was at a level that was enjoyable but did not make conversation difficult. If you are in downtown Sanford and feel like something from the Caribbean then step in and grab and chair. You may need to park in the big parking area in front of the Sanford Library - depending on the time of day.

I would definitely recommend. I Had the jerk chicken with black beans and rice. It was amazing, best I've ever had. Large portion sizes, great place and great people.

Absolutely LOOOOOVE their food, especially the oxtails. When I’m craving some good Jamaican food, I’m SO glad I don’t have to drive far. I only get their oxtails, which come with a hefty portion of rice & peas, cabbage & plantains and their beef patties. The oxtails are tender, juicy & well-seasoned. The rice & peas are so yummy. Cabbage is well-seasoned & the plantains are perfection. The beef patties are fried golden & are a nice blend of flavor & hint of fire. The customer service is great & you can either eat inside or outside with reggae music playing pleasantly in the background. They’re open late, so if you’re bar hopping Downtown, you stop & grab some good food or now or later.

My family was on vacation in Sanford. My husband being from Jamaica wanted to find some authentic food. We stumbled across this place. The food was delicious, however the customer service from the woman in the front was terrible. My husband was asking the KIND gentleman working up front about the menu. A few items were sold out when we placed our order so we knew the food would be good. He asked a few questions about the menu, one being if the Ackee and salt fish was cooked daily because where we live, Ackee and saltfish is only made on Saturdays and Sundays. The woman gave him quite an attitude saying “what kind of question is that?” And that we shouldn’t be asking that because the question was invalid and wasn’t a smart question etc. she then accused us of saying that they don’t cook fresh food. my husband explained to her that he was just asking about the menu and how it worked here because again we are from out of town. She went back and forth with my husband for a bit. But the gentleman at the front was quite professional and helped us out quickly. Had the food not been as good as it was, I’d given this place a nastier review. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that doesn’t give right to treat people that way for asking simple questions about THEIR establishment.

Went here for brunch shortly after they opened. The server was kind, helped us pick something for our big group, and was very attentive with our drinks and helping us with extra plates and clean up. Chicken patties were delicious. Jerk chicken was great, and the cabbage was well-seasoned. We got the brown stew chicken for kids because it wasn't spicy, but I gladly would've eaten it all. The sign outside said they have the old cook back. This was our first visit, so welcome back and thanks for excellent service today.

Welcoming atmosphere and quick service. The Jerk Chicken meal with rice and peas was absolutely delicious. The cabbage was different and could use some seasoning. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

The oxtails and rice were delicious!! The waitress was so nice and very polite. Great vibe and music. The only thing i didn't like was the sweet plantains, they were hard and tasted like store bag. But other than that, it was good. I will go again definitely!

I recently visited Negril Spice Jamaican American Cuisine and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience. The food was top-notch and the service was excellent. The oxtail in particular was incredible, and I can confidently say it's the best in town. The meat was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Every bite was an explosion of rich, savory flavor that left me wanting more. The sides were also delicious, with the rice, plantains, and mac and cheese being a standout. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. The owner is always friendly and welcoming, she remembered us from the first time we visited. I highly recommend Negril Spice Jamaican American Cuisine to anyone looking for a delicious, authentic Jamaican dining experience. It's definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to go back again. Five stars all around! Will be updating with pics!

Simple and well priced Jamaican restaurant with good service, located couple of blocks away from main downtown Sanford area. The ox tail dish was quite delicious. If you are looking for something different, this is it.
