Actually I was surprised about this place.
The previous Friday I was craving tacos IN ANOTHER PLACE and was quite disappointed, I saw this place and I decided to give it a try since I was still craving tacos.
Going trough the door you can see the Mexican style but not the overwhelming decoration of piñatas and paper skulls like many typical places, Clean and the bar on the side well organized, not loud regional music but maybe because was lunch.
TACOS...asked 5 different because I didn't know the place but I should asked 4 and DEFINITELY I'll be back to try something different again, if the tacos were good probably the rest might be also good. I forgot to ask if they have live music, just curious because I prefer a nice meal and conversation.
I enjoyed the people and the food and I will be returning to try other meals on the menu. The place is really really clean. The Waitresses were really nice and helpful. My tacos were great but I would have liked a larger portion of the rice and beans.
I come to Tortilleria La Mexicana for the pastries. They are delicious and there is always a wide variety to select from. The concha’s here are so good!!!
Food is really good, waitress depends on the day, we've had one a couple times that was great, the other two we've had as waitresses seemed like we were an inconvenience to their time

THIS PLACE IS LIFE!!! I get the chicken nachos but modified. Instead of a bed of chips at the bottom I get a bed of rice and then get the chips on the side. When u get home u have no soggy chips and the rice adds a sense of authenticity to it. It comes with crumbled cheese, melted cheese, chicken, beans, sour scream, lettuce, and pico de Gallo, however I get monies the vegetables. It is sooooo good and the chips are so authentic! The staff is authentically Mexican to the point where when I called them to compliment them on their food she couldn’t understand me, hehe. If you only speak English like I do you can request for them to get someone who speaks English to take your order or just try the best u can with the language barrier. Either way you will leave happy and be full and satisfied! I love this place so much! Such an undiscovered little gem right here in Sanford! Wish I could give 6 stars!
Extremely authentic latin food (restaurant & bar) side and store is next door/authentic small shop-great selection of groceries including butcher shop in the back and serves hot foods (small selection/early in day) and big selection of various latin breads, cakes and pastries! Highly recommend visiting by both spots. Forewarn English speakers are minimal but for the restaurant the menu is in both languages AMD the waitress understands enough English to serve you. The shop on my visit did have two ladies whom spoke enough English to ring me up.

I found this place by accident. Lovely authentic Mexican place with a full bar. I had their lunch buffet with 2 kinds meat to build tacos, sweet plantains, rice and beans, a chicken/ veg soup, veggies and a cold bar taco fixings and fruit . Also a Mexican market next door. I'll be back!

First visit, told about this spot from neighbor. Dont let the location deter you. It has nice spacious interior and good bar. Friendly staff/ hostess.
We ordered to go meals and had margaritas at the bar while waiting.

It's a gem for authentic mexican food
They give a lot of food. The burrito was full of meat, they gave me plenty of rice and beans, chips and salsa, guacamole, and the food was delicious.
I get Birria tacos from here! They are the best Birria tacos in sanford!
