My wife and I have now gone there twice and having lived in,Sanford for about 18 months now, would consider this one of the top restaurants in town. We were sitted quickly even while busy sitting in the bar once. Served faster than even I expected the first time with how busy it was. We ordered bang bang shrimp and the scallops for apps for four of us. WOW. wear a scallops and about the same shrimp for 11 was a great price and they were well done. Not saturated in sauce to not enjoy the seafood itself. We ordered the salmon, the seafood platter, fried shrimp and filet mignon and the endless salad bar as our sides on the first night. Server was attentive and well tipped for everything that went great. Second visit was in the bar and we never had to worry about empty drinks, got there before rush but everyone showed up while we were eating and still excellent service. This is now our goto restaurant.
This is one of my finds in Sanford. I just moved here and just happened to map a place to eat. Let me tell you. You will not be disappointed. The staff is amazing but most of all the food is...omg! Delicious!!!! I am so stuck on their salmon. I used to hate brussel sprouts...will ONLY eat theirs...lol. Trust this place is a treasure of Sanford but its the best treasure so far!
Amazing service as well as great food. The Filet Mignon was amazing and cooked to perfection. My husband loved the salad bar with all the fresh toppings that were available as well as the three different kinds of lettuce, spinach etc...The strawberry shortcake and the cheesecake did not disappoint. Would highly recommend "The Flame". Good food, great prices and you certainly do not leave hungry!

We had our class reunion here and were more than pleased with the space, the food and the service! The food was plentiful and delicious and the staff was courteous and quick! I would recommend The Flame without hesitation.
Love the Flame, you feel comfortable and the waite staff are the best, very professional and prompt. You can go in without a reservation and they will do their best to get you seated as quickly as possible.

Such a great find! This was one of the best steaks I have had. It was seasoned and cooked absolutely perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We will definitely eat here again and recommend it to our friends!
Great place to eat. For the food and the service, the price is comparable. When I want to celebrate something..or go out with guests or just family, we go to The Flame Steakhouse. I've never had a bad meal there.

My husband and I went there for a date night out and had a wonderful steak dinner. He had the Prime Rib and I had the filet and both were delicious! We got a piece of Key Lime pie to go for a late night treat. Our service was excellent. The entire staff was polite and our food was served in a timely manner. We definitely recommend it and plan to go back. The only suggestion I would make is to serve two sides with it not just one with the salad bar for an additional cost.

My family and friends decided to try The Flame for my birthday dinner. The food and service was excellent!! We will definitely be back!!
The loaded French fries & house made ranch were a delicious appetizer. My date and I were told asparagus isn't always on the menu but they had it available so we both ordered it as our side & enjoyed it. She loved her tuna, the appetizer portion was perfect and raw as she preferred. My steak was very well flavored and cooked to perfection. The mushrooms had that canned metallic flavor but our server assured us they were fresh. Service was good. Lounge is beautiful and reminiscent of an old steakhouse. It was packed, glad we called ahead for a reservation.
Excellent food and excellent service. The atmosphere was very classic and simple. Very relaxing. 3/3 of our NY Strip steaks cooked perfectly. The Bang'n scallops were to die for! My Old-Fashioned was amazing. Everything was perfect.
One of the best steaks I have ever had. Grilled perfectly. The Bangin Shrimp were amazing too. This place was recommended by an employee at the Sanford Antique Mall and could not have been happier with out choice to come here. The staff was so friendly and happy to seat us even tho we didnt have a reservation. Will definitely make the drive back to The Flame.
Possibly the best steak I've ever tasted! And I've tasted steaks all across this country, for commuting an hour away it's still worth the trip
I had previously went to the other steakhouse in Wilson NC. Since that is a bit far, coworker and I went to The Flames as it is close. That was a great decision.
While they don’t bring the entire roast out,we noticed after dinner that the ribeye steak is fresh cut from a while roast just like the other place.
The steak we ordered was cooked perfectly to our ordered doneness. It was super tender and juicy. The only issue I would note is that there was a bit too much salt in a section of the steak. Otherwise it was great.
all in all, this is a great steak house.
One of the best prime rib I've had. Beth was a great, professional and attentive waitress. Price for what we had was extremely reasonable. Dessert was huge - Mississippi Mud Pie and NY cheesecake. Definitely a return trip
