This is a wonderful establishment all-around. They have amazing ice cream, featuring some delicious flavors you won't find anywhere else. They also have sorbet, custard, frozen yogurt, and even paninis! The staff here is super friendly, informative, and helpful. Joey does a great job running the place. The atmosphere is really fun and unique; it's a really cool place to sit down with your friends and family to enjoy a superb treat. I have nothing bad to say about it. I would recommend this place to anyone who makes it out to Sanibel.

After a bad experience with unfriendly staff somewhere else on the island, we decided to give this place a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. Friendly girl greeted us with a smile. Great service and cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The ice cream wasn't bad, either. We went back today for coffee. Met the owner. "Best coffee on the island", he said. He wasn't lying.

Had the pleasure of finally getting out to Joeys with the family today. I have to say it was an awesome experience starting with the great atmosphere and the food was amazing! Of course we had to get dessert which was awesome as well. This place is a must stop when you’re on Sanibel and can’t wait for next visit!!

Wide selection of ice creams, custards and sorbets with an endless variety of ways to eat them! Staff were super friendly and patient as everyone came in and spent forever looking at the menu boards before making a choice. Highly recommended

The soft serve ice cream is delicious! Nice size serving and awesome toppings. The staff was very friendly and they were open late (at least for the island). The seating area is really nice (inside and out). Enjoyed going there for lunch too (great sandwiches). Nice couches to sit and have coffee too. Coffee was fantastic!

Came from North Fort Myers tonight because we saw the peanut butter waffle post in the SWFL Foodies Group. Needless to say it was well worth the drive and we can’t wait to come back! Super friendly owner gave some great suggestions.

The custard was great, but the place itself was even better. Can't believe we'd never stumbled in before. Comfy places to sit, activities to keep the kids busy and interesting items on the wall. Being a Western New Yorker by birth, I especially enjoyed the Jim Kelly jersey and the Buffalo News clippings. Highly recommended.

What took me so long to eat here?!?!Joey’s is my new favorite spot for a quick bite. Everyone needs to come grab a panini and follow it up with a scoop of Working Cow ice cream. I am so happy to support this locally owned island cafe...way to go Joey.

This ice cream was delicious!! Definitely tasted homemade and fresh! I got a very interesting flavor- pistachio ice cream with chunks of crunchy peanut butter- pounded weird BUT SUCH a good combo! Love the unique ice cream flavor names! The little porch set up was adorable and felt very safe- one group of customers in the store at a time- so be patient but it is worth the wait!! Convientlyy located next to Sanibel Lighthouse Cafe- perfect spot post-Beach / Lighthouse exploring!

Convenient location at the Southern end of Sanibel near the lighthouse park area. The young man working was very pleasant. They have a wide variety of delicious flavours and the prices are what one might expect to pay on the (tourist) resort driven island. A cute little shop to have good ice cream. We would stop again for sure.

Need ice cream in your life...then pay a visit to this little treasure on Sanibel Island especially if you just came from the beach after shelling or sunbathing or from Lighthouse Point you'll definitely be glad you did. It's without a doubt an Island favorite to beat the heat... If you get one of the waffle cones, make sure you grab plenty of napkins.

Best Homemade Ice Cream is not a lie! This place has truly fantastic ice cream. I got Dolphin Tracks, which money is donated to support water filtration to make the water cleaner for dolphins with every scoop you buy! It included marshmallow chunks, chocolate chips and sprinkles. A picture is included below. I also got one called the Sandpiper, which was the creamiest caramel ice cream I’ve ever had!

Very tasty homemade ice creams place near the Sanibel Lighthouse Beach. We loved their outside sitting area and it also open till late 10pm-ish - unlike other restaurants & shops on Sanibel Island which close at 8pm.

Our visit to Sanibel is not complete unless we have a scoop (or 2 or 3) from Sanibel’s Best Homemade Ice Cream!! The ice cream really is homemade and so delicious! Plus all the fun/local flavor names! My kids love it! We have been coming here for years our annual trip from Cincinnati and recommend it to any new or repeat Sanibel visit! Come support this local Business and enjoy this island treat! And don’t forget the morning for delicious coffee and pastry too! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! It’s worth the wait!

This has got to be one of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I always check to see if it has re-opened but sadly it has not. I hope they can restore the place and are back in business soon. Miss you guys!

Formerly called 'Pinocchio's', family has been coming here for years. Ice cream is delicious... a wonderful treat for youngsters -- and 'oldsters'! Will be on Sanibel in Oct (2020) and looking forward to visiting 'Sanibel's Best Ice Cream' once again.

A must stop after visiting the lighthouse. If you spend some time at the beach near the lighthouse and your heat exhausted, stop here! The ice cream there is the absolute best. The staff is as sweet as the treats! Thank you to the staff! Keep the smiles going. Its tops the ice cream off better than sprinkles!
