We arrived early for lunch. Not so busy at that moment. The food is incredible. The Lobster tail Caprese salad was outstanding. The tuna salad was amazing. It's the best salad I've ever had in Florida so far. Maybe it's because I love the Asian fusion. Definitely will come back again next time.

Nicely done, George & Wendy! My wife and I have been coming to Sanibel for years and often wanted to try this place. I ordered the cod-bites as a happy-hour Tapas appetizer. The bites were well-presented, seasoned and plentiful. My wife ordered the cauliflower-crusted veggie flatbread. I ordered the local grouper that’s worth writing about, while my wife had the Chicken Piccata. Melissa our server was sweet and attentive. I topped my meal off with the Key-lime pie (as always) that was fresh and delicious, and put a smile on my face :-)

Reservations for 6:30. Arrived and immediately seated. Restaurant not overly packed but steady. Greeted by our waitress, Marie. Wonderful person and gave us several suggestions. Settled in for peal and eat shrimp and seared ahi tuna as appetizers. Very good. Complimentary warm bread and dip. Dinner consisted a couple entrees- first their grilled seafood platter, 3 shrimp, 3 scallops and lobster tail. It was served with a mushroom risotto. Simply amazing. Second, 12oz prime rib smashed potatoes and salad, also delicious. Rounding out third was the bacon wrapped scallops, mushroom risotto and salad. All three could not have been any better. This was my first visit and I loved every thing about my experience but.....the bar is directly adjacent to the inside dining area. At the bar they had live music, loud amplified music with singing. This did nothing but echo throughout. It actually became quite annoying as the play list continued. Absent the impromptu concert, which wasn't happening during appetizers, this was a fabulous dining experience and I would have given 5 stars. I'd definitely return but probably just not when the band is playing.

SENSATIONAL FOOD! 100% perfect. We had a party of seven, and called ahead for reservations. They had it ready when we arrived. The food was on the level of a fine dining establishment, but the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming! Our waitress was an absolutely charming Michigander. We ordered the roasted garlic and Brie, and the calamari for starters and they were ON POINT! And the bread with pesto dip…simply stellar. The salads were incredibly fresh, cold, and perfect. The drunken grouper was a hit with my husband and son. I had the Grouper Francaise. Normally, I get photos of all of the food…but I legitimately forgot, and decided the best review would be the EMPTY PLATES!! I wish I could steal the chefs. If you visit anywhere close to Sanibel…make time for this establishment.

Stopped for a late lunch and although was busy our service and food were excellent. Ordered the cob salad and added broiled cod. My husband ordered the broiled cod with black beans and rice and steamed broccoli. Ample portions and cod was cooked to perfection. There is a large parking lot that accommodated our oversized van easily. Several campers also parked in lot.

Loved this place! Beautifully landscaped, lots of trees and umbrellas outside which is where I chose to sit for Sunday lunch. Outdoor seating is pet friendly by the way. Menu was extensive. I selected the steak and shrimp fajita combo. Very fresh, tasty, high quality, and a generous portion. I took half of it home for dinner. Service was attentive. My lunch total ($20-$30) included one glass of wine. I'll definitely be back!

We read reviews before we went, and most of them were positive. We weren't disappointed. Blackened Grouper bites were prepared perfectly. Min coarsest were lobster alfredo and Mediterranean Snapper both were delicious. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was up beat with live entertainment in the bar area. Our server Donald did a great job

Great place to watch a game. We stopped in for an appetizer and the place had a great energy to it. Plenty of TVs around the bar area so it would be a great spot for Sunday football. The staff was attentive and the blackened grouper bites tasted fresh and were cooked nicely. Will be coming back for sure!

ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Simply put: Hands down….the best Filet Mignon on Sanibel* paired with the tastiest Garlic Mashed Potatoes I have ever had anywhere. *Top 3 Filets I have ever had. The portions were great, the prices were great, and the wait staff were far better than average. Torrey, was our server. He was extraordinarily personable and made great conversation. We completely recommend George and Wendy’s on Sanibel. ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!!!! Thanks for a GREAT experience!

I had a fantastic time at George and Wendy's with my mother tonight! The general manager Dawn was so welcoming and friendly. She even remembered us both from our first visit which was really appreciated and made us feel at home. Our sever Marcus and his manager were also very attentive and hospitable. Marcus never dropped the ball and always made an effort to check back and made sure everything was just perfect! Thank you so much. The food was tastey too, I had the baby back ribs, which as promised by the extensive menu fell off the bone! Topping off the night was my frozen Pina colada which was so daymn yummy and was my desert and night cap in one! Being made extra boozie with a goslings black seal float. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. The live music wasn't half bad either. Thank you again George and Wendy's for a lovely evening 😊.

We were in town for 1 day on our way back to Key west and do not regret going to this place for dinner! It was also my daughter's birthday. Our server was good but got very busy, he had more tables then he should've(about 8 or more) so we had to ask the host and wait for condiments. I still tipped him well because I understand the restaurant business being a former manager for a large restaurant. Planning on bringing my husband for our anniversary trip when he gets back for deployment, it was delicious!

Wow what a gem in Sanibel, originally we picked a different restaurant but now we will stop by every chance we get. Here’s what I would get again, the bread with oil and shredded parm. It is a great starter, coming hot and fresh out of the oven. To this day I’m still searching for an olive oil as decadent as we had that night… (Let it be known is a dinner only option, don’t make out mistake of trying to get some at lunch hour, it is not baked then.) The Shrimp and Scallop Scampi, this knocked my socks off, everyone was fighting for the last bite and sopping up each little morsel left on their plates. The white wine sauce is just perfect with the sun dried tomatoes. I’m telling you do not pass this one up. The best crème brûlée is simple, and they did not mess this one up, fresh fruit, whipped cream, vanilla custard, and caramelized sugar. It was a exactly what we needed to end our meal. Now what I would pass on was our Dinner Entrées, they were not bad but not as amazing as our appetizers and dessert, we would probably try other choices next time. Overall we can’t wait to come back and indulge, and if you want a quiet dining experience sit outside in their lovely outdoor patio area. Or enjoy a bustling setting with live music by the bar. Thanks George & Wendy!

We were all set to order things like salmon that we can get at home. And then Kasey our server convinced us to try more local flavors. The guys got Grouper dishes! They loved them! And my friend and I got Red Snapper. Oh my goodness!!! Mine was delicious!!! The music was a little loud but the rest of the experience was awesome!!! Thank you for having gluten free options!!!

Food quality was exceptional. I had the seafood linguine and my wife had salmon. Both very good and not outrageously priced. Torrey, our waiter was VERY GOOD.

Amazing service at lunchtime. All their special dishes are 10/10. The drinks were ice cold and the food is very authentic. Sanibel Visit worthy!
