One of the most delicious welcoming cafes we have ever enjoyed! It made our trip to Sanibel memorable and we visited again and again! The food was such high quality and the attention to allergy needs with flexible menu items was incredible! The fresh from the gulf shrimp was SO SO good! The complimentary warm house baked muffins were yummy! Do not miss the omelette with Hollandaise! So many delicious entrees and apps for any time of day! Go with an island mindset to relax with family while you wait for a table because it’s a delicious and popular choice. Island Cow is a fun dining experience and part of a great day!

The Island cow was very busy! Our wait was short, our waitress "Julie" was amazing, the food came quickly and was served piping hot. The only meal (out of 6 meals) that wasn't very good was the shrimp basket. The shrimp were good but the fries tasted off. The restaurant was clean the bathrooms were as well. The only thing that kind of freaked me out was the frog on the ceiling. LOL The young lady at the bar seemed a little lonely, but she also took care of the gift shop. There was almost too much on the menu to choose from, so I guess what I'm saying is there's a good selection of food to choose from. If I get the chance to go back before my vacation ends, I will most certainly do so. The grouper and the snapper were delicious!

If you've eaten here you know straight up these portions are very large. The dishes were good, however the corn bread was amazing. I had to check the butter to make sure it wasn't honey butter lol. Their menu is packed with lots of choices. My tacos were so big i thoughthey were burritos at first. If i drank beer this would be the place to go , prices are seriously good. See pictures of our meals and what i thought of it.

Wish we would have discovered this place sooner and wish we could give it more than 5 stars! This place is packed with awesome decor, ah-mazing food, and all the good vibes! Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed! Plates come stacked with food that is full of flavor! It’s almost criminal the amount of food they give you! Never had grits that tasted so good! Eggs were cooked to a fluffy perfection! Staff members are super nice and helpful! Do yourself a favor and stop here for all your meals…absolutely the BEST place on the island to feed you belly and your soul!

Great place to eat on the island!. Loved the name, decor and vibe! Had an awesome waiter. You get yummy moist muffins to start you off, while looking at the menu. My fresh blueberries pancakes were very good. They came with some fresh fruit and their delicious fried potatoes. The crisp bacon, (I ordered that way) came looking burnt, but tasted fine. Coffee was very good also. I'm hoping to go back to try their corned beef hash.

These are the BEST seafood Fajitas anywhere. They come to the table sizzling hot in the pan. It's a very busy place, so we haven't been here for several years. But we braved the crowds and did it. So glad!😋

So glad we finally decided to stop here for dinner. Everything was amazing. The fried pickles (Frickles) were unbelievable. Not a single complaint from anyone in our party. Just fantastic!

We love this place! Total island hangout. Bags and ring toss outside for fun. Plus a huge cage with a few big lizards in it to see. The food was outstanding. So many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious food and great service!

Such a cool place! The meals are LARGE and very filling, plus free sprinkle cupcakes! Definitely a family oriented place. Great outdoor seating options and it would be cool to see the live music. The menu is huuge and a little chaotic to look at, but you know you’ll find something you like. Service was great, they were so friendly and fun. My only complaint is when our food came out. The food runner was holding (honestly) about 8 dishes all stacked on top of each other, which meant that we had sauce on the bottom of our dishes and it got messy, and my chicken tenders came with a spicy tartar sauce (?) that got dumped onto my chicken tenders - and I’m reeeally not a big fan of tartar. So I spent the first 5 mins of my meal trying to get the tartar off what I could. Then one out of our 7 meals came out about 10 mins after everything else. Otherwise it was a good experience, I would just opt to try something else next time we visit Sanibel rather than choosing to come back. The iguanas in the back were a big plus! But in waaay too small of a cage for 2-3 of them :/

Absolutely loved this place!! The food was amazing as well as the atmosphere, large variety of choices .I appreciated the pricing since I wanted a steak without buying the whole cow. Live entertainment was awesome. Best place hands down from my Sanibel Island experience.

Omg! This was the best food we’ve had on our trip! I had the hey that paella and it was phenomenal! I typically wouldn’t order something like this but I’m glad I did! The wife had grouper piccata and she equally enjoyed it! I tried a bite and you can tell it was fresh fish! The kids had typical kid food but they enjoyed it. Friendly and attentive staff and the atmosphere was very laid back island! Loved it! You must come here if you’re on Sanibel or close like Ft. Meyers! So good! So so good! Melissa took excellent care of us and you should ask for her to be your waitress!

Our families first visit to the island and area. Such a great experience at The Island Cow! Service was amazing, we had the best waiter that I have ever had in my almost 4 decades or life!!! He was spot on with everything a normal server should do, but he made everything fun! I wish that I was good with names so I could give him the credit he deserves (if it helps.. I joked about his a.d.d because he was bouncing all over the place). The food could have been horrible and I would have been ok with it. However, the food was perfect. I had the shrimp tacos, I highly recommend! My family will definitely be back! O and I almost forgot...they have a menu for your puppy friends if you bring them along!

What a great place 5 Stars ⭐️. The staff is awesome and so friendly. We stared out with their nacho plate as an appetizer, O’ my gosh is was delicious, it has queso cheese 🫕 drizzled through out. Yummy 😋. I had the Shrimp 🍤 Poorboy with pink gulf shrimp, w/fries. It was better than I’ve had in New Orleans, honestly, or was loading with veggies and sliced pickle strips. It was So good, I mostly left The fries alone, lol. We had a couple of drinks 🍺 to wash it all down. Price is terrific $$ and the atmosphere is super fun. Do yourself a favor if your on Sanibel Island and stop in for a bit to eat, you’ll love it 😍.

Good drinks! We ordered seafood tacos, bacon burger, clam chowder, blackened salmon gumbo, and fried shrimp. Gumbo was too salty but had good crayfish in it. Tacos were ok but got to be too soggy to eat as tacos.E verything else tasted good.

Great food in a casual island atmosphere. Pleasant staff and fair prices (surprisingly given the location). The Grouper Oscar and the Paella were both tasty (and huge portions) as were the conch fritters.
