My favorite place to eat lamb. I've been going for 20 years and Ben is my waiter every time. He is the nicest person and gives the most wonderful service.
This is my favorite Persian restaurant in Orange County. The food is great quality and we just love it here all the time. Ask for the Tadig(hard crispy rice) which is my favorite with some stew on top...mmmm good
Awesome food people and atmosphere. I'll recommend to all my friends.
Darya is one of our favorites; always good service, good ambiance, good value, excellent food, and the best lamb in Orange County. I hesitate to make this too good, because often, at the last minute, when the mood strikes, we just drop in and never have to wait. I hope it stays that way.
Amazing food, great service. Fresh ingredients and knowledgeable chef combined with considerate service makes for a great experience. I eat there every week and I'm never disappointed.
The best Persian food I have ever had!! Service was great and decor is beautiful.
Great Food and Service. Loved it
Weekdays lunch was busy
Fantastic food, sourroudings and music.
Loved every minute
I just want to say thanks so much to the Resturant 's crow and management for great service they gave us for my father memorial event on March 19th . Best service, food and arrangement .
Longevity in business and the fact that most senior staff have been with this restaurant for decades speaks for itself.
Love this place so much,I had my wedding reception and also the party for our baby's Babtism! Great food and hospitality!
Great happy "hour" (M-F 4pm-close) specials in the bar area! Live music too!
The good was delicious and the service was great. Very satisfied.
I recently dined at this remarkable Persian restaurant in California, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. Sohaila was our waitress she was so nice and helpful.
The menu showcased a wide range of authentic Persian dishes, which were an absolute delight to the palate. Each dish was prepared with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a burst of flavors that transported me straight to Iran.
The Kabab I ordered was okay, but what truly stood out was the Ashreshteh – it was absolutely delicious! The blend of flavors was perfect. Moreover, I was impressed by the professionalism of the service and our waitress. They made the dining experience enjoyable and memorable. What's even better, the price was so reasonable! I'll definitely be returning for more of that delightful Ashreshteh!
It’s a solid option for Persian food in OC. I have previously visited West LA location many times and it felt more cozy and friendly.
Food is good. Filet mignon kebab is delicious! They also give you a big batch of warm lavash.
The restaurant itself is huge. I had reservation and when we came for lunch at 12pm on a weekday it was mostly empty. For some reason we were directed to the darkest table next to the kitchen and the bar. I felt uncomfortable to ask for a different table so we just went with it. That partly spoiled the experience.
They use high quality ingredients
Koobide: I believe the koobide mix was too much, need to have more meat involve
Chicken kebab: i ordered chicken leg but got chicken breast
Chicken breast was fairly cooked, it was flavorless, i suggest to have it more salt, pepper and little bit of garlic mix
Rise and mast moosir were perfect
I can see they were used high quality ingredients
They Resturant was really clean and people working there are really respectful
"If you're looking for a unique dining experience with delicious Persian food, look no further than Darya! The live music adds a fun and energetic atmosphere to the restaurant, making it a great place to celebrate special occasions or just enjoy a night out. The food is definitely worth the higher price tag - every dish is expertly prepared and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying the juicy kebabs and the rich stews. Overall, Darya is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in delicious food and great music!"
Absolutely delicious. I had the grilled chicken kebab and meatloaf kebob. Definitely getting it again. The yellow 💛 rice was fantastic and salad 🥗. Great Persian hit tea I made into Iced tea 🤣 Endless delicious flatbread too. Extremely well priced. Shockingly well priced given the good quantity of food. Beautiful place and top notch service. A must to try if near there. First time having Persian food and was blown away 😁
Very friendly staff and delicious food.
We had tah dig with three stews and mix of chicken, lamb and shish kabob with mast mousir.
All stews were delicious but there is no meat, so best is to order that dish as an appetizer.
Wonderful dinner - amazing flavors, large portions. Super attentive and friendly service. Would definitely visit again.
Great experience!!!!! Sat at the bar and had an amazing Persian salad, the pomegranate chicken stew and the juicy chicken (photo below) everything was amazing, service, drinks, price was fair, we are visiting OC all the time and going to make this spot a staple!!! (We live in Colorado and a friend moved there as well from here and said this place is the only thing he misses about OC) haha worth a visit!
Hi, the Mighty Gamera here with a Persian restaurant review!
We were invited here for a special event in honor of "the one and only," and that event was amazing. Thank you so much.
Now, the review: the atmosphere, location and decor were all top drawer. The staff was very eager, attentive, and nice even though they were very busy.
The food was just okay, and I enjoyed the appetizers the best. I don't know the names, but my wife calls what I liked the most "Salad Olivia." I also enjoyed the Kabobs, but honestly, it was underwhelming.
I do recommend the place and would go again. I didn't get to try the filet Kabob and that sounds yum.
Free Iran 🇮🇷
The ambience of the restaurant was very nice. It was very clean and elegant which we will recommend enforcing a dress code :) service was good. The food server knew every single dish on the menu. The lamb shank is the dish to go here. Very juicy and tender. The lamb shish kebab and filet mignon can be better. Filet mignon was a bit dry, over-cooked, the meat wasn’t tender enough. We would recommend staying with the lamb. The rice was absolutely outstanding. Wine selection can definitely be better. Appetisers were good too. Hummus needs a little more consistency, a bit too watery. Deserts were good. Lots of options. Overall, it’s a good place to spend a good evening. Maybe some Persian music at the background instead.
Great place for family dinner or birthdays. Came here for fantastic birthday party. Food is exotic super tasty. We had the mixed grill all very well cooked.
Excellent food, very good service. Easy parking and reservations. Highly recommend.
