happy Hour was 8pm-close! Great beer, as shown was the happy hour beer. Crazy German beer selection. We got the works, 3 sausage sampler, and the loaded fries. So amazing, fresh, grilled to perfection and the fries so perfect. All this food for 55$ including tip. Try the Nuremberg! It’s veal, and almost like a breakfast sausage. The Wagyu is always amazing! The fries have a great sauce with grilled onions! Great German style date night! Oh and the bread is so soft and crispy on the outside. Idk how they do it!
The place was awesome. The Wagyu Beef sausage was amazing. The Fruli beer is now one of my favorites now. Def was a good spot, and it was cool to walk into a trivia night. Will def 10/10 come back
This place is awesome! The food is always amazing, the service is good, and the ambience is super cool.
You really can't go wrong ordering, just order more or less what you would normally order ( hot dog wise) but definitely get the drunken onions on top. Also make sure you try all their sauces, we personally like their honey mustard paired with a spicy polish.
And do yourself a favor and get the drunken fries with a brat of your choice on top. Thank me later.
Their beer selection is excellent as well. Over 20 German beers on tap, definitely get a beer or two!
My fiance has been coming to this place for years and I can see why. The food and drinks are delicious and unique. They have such a wide array of beers and ciders on tap, you are bound to find something perfect. I have been able to try so many beers I'd never heard of.
The atmosphere of this bar is also perfect for a friendly catch up. I did not see any TVs, so don't come to watch the game.
Overall a must visit in Santa Ana!
We went around 5:30pm on a Thursday and there was not much of a line and easy to find seats. I ordered the sampler which I picked bison, kangaroo, and the nurnberger. I also ordered a side pretzel with cheese and wow that was the best and softest pretzel I’ve had in years! The cheese dipping sauce was delicious almost tasted like it was mixed with Dijon mustard idk but it was great!
Ambiance was nice. Good selection of imported beers. I would recommend friends and family.
We left around 7pm and there was already a line forming and the tables filled up relatively quickly for the dinner rush.
This place is bomb. They are really similar to Wurstkuche in LA. Large selection of sausages in any type of meat you can think of, including vegan (which are delicious). Their fries are thick and crispy and the dipping sauces are amazing. The atmosphere is also really cool and chill, super fun place to go hang out with friends and grab a bite to eat and a drink at the bar.
Wursthaus is my go-to bar! The best thing about this place is the happy hour. On Sundays, there's happy hour all day! Also, downtown Santa Ana has free parking on Sundays so it's a double win! I always order the Paulaner. I love that beer so much that sometimes I crave it and during happy hour, it only costs 4 dollars for 16 ounces!!
The bar itself is really amazing with 20 beers on tap with a large variety. Even if you're not a huge beer drinker there's probably a drink here for you! On top of the great prices, good beer and large variety, the food is also amazing! If you like onions, get the drunk fries! The onions are caramelized in IPA so it has a sweet taste! Definitely a place to check out!
Great time out with the family. Sort of a last minute decision to stop, and it turned out to be a great experience. Everyone was friendly and the food came out amazingly. Definitely a great spot to visit if you are looking for German beer and/or a quick little bite to eat.
This is a must do when you are in Santa Ana. My kids love going to the Frida next door and heading to Wursthaus after for a link and fries. They have such a great variety of varies sausages (everything from your standard link to hot, chicken and exotic like alligator). My daughter said it best, the snap on the sausage is magical. You have a choice of buns and toppings (favorites are grilled onions and jalapenos). The fries are crispy and delicious and come with a choice of dipping sauces. My favorite is the fresh, handmade pretzel, it is huge and super tasty. Option side of cheese sauce available as well but I think it is good plain.
The seating area in the back is dark but cool in a mysterious way. There is a set of tables in between the booths along the wall and the beer bar on the opposite side. Plenty of seating even on super busy nights (and trust me even late it gets busy). We ordered around 10:30PM last Saturday and it was pretty packed still. We ordered food to go and we had everything and were back on the road home in less than 15 minutes. Great place with some pretty unique eats.
This place hits the spot if you are looking for German style sausage. The selection is great and the food is delicious, the sauerkraut is not cooked, it just a bit pickled needs a bit more flavour, the French fries could be better but they work with the current sausage list. The employee attitudes could use a bit of improvement toward being more friendly but who am I to judge ^_*
