Fantastic dinner! Started with a bone marrow brushcetta then onto wagu beef. My husband had the fish special, that was disappointing. The hard rice noodles didn't work with the delicate fish. But overall a wonderful meal.
First, let me give credit to my husband for finding this gem...
We eat out a lot, consider ourselves foodies, and I will drive the 5 hours to return to this restaurant on a regular basis!
Friendly staff greet you and seat you right away. The menu is online, so you can go in with your preconceived ideas, just be ready to change your mind after speaking to wait staff.
We had a pre-fix meal, every bite was full of flavor. Points and counter points. Salty, citrusy, umami, bitter. Silky, crunchy, smooth textures.
And the dessert. Let's not get started. I imagine every item on the menu is amazing and will be making the drive to find out!
Ruben is our server. He is very friendly and professional. The restaurant serves our food promptly. Fried cauliflower is the best.
What an am experience!!! We were fortunate enough to do the tasting menu and everything was above anything I expected!! The skate wing, the bone marrow, and hazelnut torte were three of the most wonderful dishes I have ever experienced in my life. I cannot wait to bring friends there that enjoy great food paired with a lovely atmosphere.
I came all the way from Australia and can I just say for once I have no words but I’ll try. The service was amazing I was blown away. Don’t get me started on the food I ordered a salad thinking it would be basic but it was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. Every bite was heaven every element of the meal paired perfectly. I was with my family and they ordered 3 servings of tacos I don’t think they liked them 😂 it is worth the 14 hr trip. Support this business you will not regret it.
This place offers the chefs unique take on dishes, and you are dining the techniques and the chefs palette of flavors than your usual sense of quality. For appetizer we had cherry tomatoes soaked in parmesan sauce topped with truffles, it was hard to describe the multitude of cheesy and citricity flavors. For main dishes we had the famous shoryu ramen and a daily special fish dish. The fish was a kind of roll made from Mediterranean sole and another type of fish I forgot that offered a strong taste, certain the server wasn't kidding when he said only if you like fish! The ramen however impressed tremendously. It is made from three types of broth, which again gives additional flavor to the traditional shoryu. But as you taste the soup after finishing the noodle, you realize how rich the shoryu flavor really was! Finally for desert we had a flourless chocolate torte, with condensed milk, caramel and a cherry paste as sauce. It was extremely dense and is a chocolate attack, without being too strong.on cocoa to make it bitter. What a dining experience! The only thing to be mindful of is to be patient, the dishes couldn't come fast.
