Solid ramen place, had the Kuro Ramen which was flavorful and had a nice soy flavor to the broth. The toppings were good as well. Also tasted the fried pepper karage chicken which was oily but tasty.

Great ramen spot w/out the long wait. Comparable to other ramen shops with 2hr wait time. The egg is the way I like it, yolk is not too runny or over cooked. Just right. I Love their agedashi eggplant, it's really good. Don't forget the homemade potstickers. You can also opt for a lighter broth and I also request less salty.

Kotetsu Ramen is one of the best Ramen joints in Santa Clara, and that's quite evident from the crowds.

The decor & ambiance are simple, just what you expect from an exclusively Ramen place.

Given that this is a Japanese place, the prices are quite cheap.

The Ramen is clearly quite good. I wouldn't recommend ordering a lot since the serving sizes are large for a Ramen.

this place is GOATED. I feel like it's so good that it should be packed all the time but surprisingly it's pretty empty when I usually go in. I recommend the Kuro broth, super rich and creamy but not too salty. amazing place 10/10.

I like the ramen here. The soup tasted very well and the egg was cooked exactly what I needed. See photos. They are not very busy during weekdays so just walking in.

Try the kuro tonkotsu broth if you’re looking for a smooth, smoky and creamy texture—but not too rich or salty; and take a break from all the miso based broths out there. Geso karaage (fried squid tentacles) are a great appetiser pairing with a cold beer.

A quiet little hole in the wall spot that I've been meaning to try for a long time. Kotetsu is a spot that should be packed but was deceptively empty when we came in. They were super kid-friendly with training chopsticks and plastic bowls, that counts for a lot when eating with kids. The ramen noodles were choice and chewy! Exactly how they should be. I was disappointed in the variety of broths, and the shoyu while simple was actually perfect. The stewed pork was also expertly done, and the soft boiled eggs were (and I mean this) the perfect type of creamy. I'll definitely be coming back here, and good ramen is hard to find; don't take it for granted.

Excellent ramen! 💯 I just finished the pork kuro ramen, and I could not wait to write this review. The soup also comes with spinach, green onion, mushroom, and nori to pack on the umami. It’s very flavorful. This is my favorite ramen I’ve tried in the area.

Great Ramen, just the right amount of food. I had the Kakuni Ramen with Kuro (soy sauce) it was delicious. You can find them between FedEx and Smart and Final.

Ramen and small side orders are all great quality here. Any of their ramen orders with soy-sauce broth are excellent. I haven’t tried the salt broth myself. Salads, onsen tamago (egg over rice), and karage (fried chicken) are also very good and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
