This review is from someone who has owned multiple Afghan Restaurants in her life and has many professional Afghan chefs in her family…. THE LAMB SHANK WAS AMAZING. I always get lamb shank at Afghan restaurants, it’s my favourite dish, but also the dish that is the hardest to get right. The rice was super long. The lamb super tender. Properly salted! Carrots and Raisins were the perfect softness. I am excited to try their other Bolani that I am taking home. I’ve been away from home, and came here to satisfy a craving and it hit the spot. Respects to the chef.

I have visited this place twice during last week, we find the food very good and the person was very helpful and courteous. He explained dishes to my friends who were trying this food for the first time. We have order Kabuli Pilao with lamb shank, chicken kabab with plain rice, chapli kabab and Bolani (aloo Paratha in oven). Bolani is traditional Afghan dish, it is potatoes, onions and some chili inside although it was not spicy. The best item was Kabuli Pilao with lamb shank, it was a proper Kabuli Pilao, they put steamed carrot and raisins on top, which is optional. I have tasted it with carrots and without and I prefer without carrots. The lamb shank was properly cooked and meat can easily be taken off. It has all the fat and juices of lamb shank. Chapli kabab were good as well. They usually put some Sumuk on top of plain rice, which gives it a different taste. Bolani was a good surprise and people from Pakistan and India can relate it to Aloo Paratha. I can whole heartedly recommend this place for lunch and dinner.

Small, Wonderful, family-owned halal restaurant. I have a particular propensity for their beef chapli kabab platter, which I usually modify a bit to my liking. The owners seem genuinely kind souls putting their best food out there consistently.

Great option for all sorts of halal food in Santa Clara. They serve great Afghan food like Bolani and Qabli Plau, the kababs are tender and flavorful, and their soups are rich and pleasantly warming. The new management is friendly and always has the customer's satisfaction in mind. They have even expanded the menu to offer some Indian and fusion dishes as well, such as the mutton biryani and the chili chicken. Their pizza is fantastic, hitting all the right notes and served with generous amount of toppings. Definitely among the best halal pizza I have tried, not to mention the amazing pricing. If you are thinking of trying out Medina Kabob House, definitely check out their lunch buffet - not only is the food great but the price will have you wishing you had found this place sooner!

Recently moved here from Chicago and happy I found this place. It was recommended by the halal grocery store next door. Ordered the burger and it was a pleasant surprise, it was a huge patty, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. I will be visiting again!
