We were looking for a breakfast spot to please both Vegans as well as Carnivores. I used the Happy Cow app to look for a place with options and Saturn Cafe popped up. I had a look at the menu on their website and was pleased with the breakfast choices and options. We (the Vegans) really enjoyed it as they had several vegan options including vegan pancakes as well as a vegan breakfast burrito that contained potatoes and a tofu scramble. They made actual vegan dishes as opposed to some restaurants that just remove the things like cheese and then don't replace them with good substitutes. While my burrito didn't have a cheese substitute it did come with a side of guac, homemade salsa and vegan tofu spread which was kind of a mix between sour cream and cream cheese. We also ordered the side of seasonal organic fruit - which was fresh and delicious. The carnivores too enjoyed their breakfasts as well! The restaurant itself was cutely decorated and the wait staff was very friendly and informative. Granted it was a slow morning but we had our yummy food in no time. While my wife & I live in Phoenix, my sister and nephew live nearby and said they would be visiting again without a doubt and try some some of the other menu items for lunch, etc. It was a great find for our last day in Santa Cruz!

The best vegan burger (bbq chicken) and the best fries I've ever had! Also liked the funky, homey feel of the place.

Been here many many times and love the food! Often I become overwhelmed because everything is delicious so it makes it hard for me to decide what to order lol! Sunday’s they also have bottomless mimosas and an added Brunch menu. Definitely a favorite spot and I will be back again soon! :-)

So delicious! It’s hard for a veggie like myself to find a yummy comfort food type sandwich. The bbq “chicken” ranch sandwich was the bomb. Even my meat loving friend who came with me loved it:) Also, Dominic our bartender was super friendly and awesome. I wish their was a restaurant like this in Wisconsin! You must try it out!

Absolutely hands down some of the best staff ever. Very attentive with great attitudes no matter what time of day or night. Best part was my son could order off a menu that has great gluten free options for him including desserts. Not the same old limited stuff.

Even though I haven’t been in years, some of my fondest memories of my frequent trips to Santa Cruz when I lived in Monterey, are stopping in to Saturn Cafe for vegan corndogs, fries, & a glass of Tang. You guys are the best!

My boyfriend and I were passing through (both vegetarian) and wanted to stop for lunch. Instantly impressed by the customer service we received and the quality and presentation of our food, atmosphere was great. Unfortunately as we are holidaying from Australia we won't be able to visit Saturn Cafe again, but it was definitely one of the best vegetarian cafe's we have experienced. Highly recommended!! We both happily gave a generous tip

This is the best vegan/vegetarian option in Santa Cruz. Simple foods made well. My personal favorite is their tomato soup with a side of garlic fries. I also highly recommend their shakes: get them "vegan", the coconut whipped cream is great!

I was so so happy to visit Saturn cafe during my time in Santa Cruz. I used to regular the location in Berkeley until they shut down. The food is incredible and most everything can be made vegan. The buffalo “chicken” salad is one of my favorites - served with vegan ranch and gluten free onion rings on top! There are a lot of vegan/vegetarian options in Santa Cruz but do yourself a favor and stop by Saturn!

Ambience: 4.5/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Great place for kids. The staff was really nice and courteous. They were dressed up as different animals. The was a very old non working refrigerator at the entry gate where they kept food menu. The tables had transparent top with underlying art work. Ample seating space, beautiful ambience. The serving size was big and food was delicious. Highly recommended!!

I LOVE Saturn Cafe! It’s one of my favorite places to eat at in Santa Cruz! They have so many delicious menu items to choose from, it’s always hard to just pick one! Vibes and staff are always good! These are the nacho fries (and they are delightful)

We decided to go to this restaurant after a nice afternoon at the beach and based our choice from reading reviews. What drew me was the types of meals and since we were in the mood for a simple burger/sandwich, we decided to go for it. I read a review about a potential parking situation at Walgreens so we decided it would be best to park on the street. Since going vegetarian 6 months ago, I've been craving a club sandwich so I was beyond excited to find this option available here! I had to pay an additional $1.50 for vegan ranch but that wasn'ta big deal. However, I was not impressed by how little the kids plates were. They barely gave them a handful of fries each. I ended up having to share some of my sandwich with my kids which I had plenty of so it was ok. The other con was that our waitress was not very friendly and seemed to be annoyed with us being there. In any other situation, I would have called her out on it but I didn't want to make it an issue. She couldn't even crack a smile while serving us. Whatever, we went for the food and not for her. Food was tasty and hit the spot. Also ordered a chocolate madness for dessert and it was plenty for 4 people to share. We will definitely be back to try different vegan/vegetarian options in the future when we're in town!

Amazing vegetarian cafe. The food is very nice and reasonably priced. The vegan milkshakes are fantastic. A bit of a break from the norm as they serve vegetarian style junk food, rather than the usual healthy light bites lots of other places presume vegetarians eat.

I just got a vegan option...I don'tremember the name but it was a vegan bbq chicken burger with fries and vegan ranch. It was pretty good and the fries were excellent especially with the ranch. But they had a really nice flavor all by themselves. It was a little pricey but good and the atmosphere was very creative. They also offer vegan desserts like sundaes with whipped cream...all vegan :) , as well as regular stuff and vegetarian options. I loved the music, my kind of electronica, dance type stuff. They were also very openly lgbtq which seemed to add to the whole creative ambiance and sort of open, all inclusive feeling . I hope to come back again when I have more time.
