The Greek Salad! Crisp cold romaine lettuce with lots of crisp cucumber, sliced sweet cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and a generous amount of creamy feta, oh but the lemony herb dressing was the best. I would order that salad again & again! Service outside was on point too!

I love this place. The setting is lushly green. The service is lovely. The food is excellent. But my absolute favorite reason for coming here is their Fuego hot chocolate - simply to die for and worth the trip.

Wonderful lunch yesterday at Chocolate. Three of us had a table in the shade. We could hear good street musicians and people watch the busy sidewalk. We enjoyed the mini loaf of gluten free bread to accompany tasty salads. We very much enjoyed the Summer Berry Sangria! The taste was delicious and about a third of the large glass was filled with a mix of berries to eat with a spoon - yummy. Our server was friendly and informative. Downside? We didn't have room for a delicious dessert or chocolate drink that are stars here. We left and joined the throng of people who were having a great time on Pacific Avenue in downtown SC......we also saw some amazing dogs.

Second time there...we live in South San Francisco otherwise we would be regulars. My wife and I love this place. The food is uniquely awesome and the service has also both times been great. "Thanks David" for the overfilling my wine glass 🙏🏻😊

Love this restaurant, a little get away downtown Santa Cruz...we always sit in the outdoor patio which happens to be dog friendly and enjoy small plates and a glass of wine....

Long time walker by-er, first time stopper-inner. Glad I did. Other reviews seemed accurate from my short visit. Service and ambience were beyond my expectations. QR menu on table. Water brought promptly. Soup was fantastic. Really into mushrooms lately. Looking at other tables and I'm stoked to go back and eat for real....

Great place! Wife and I came here on a Wednesday night for a date. Not very busy and the outdoor patio was very nice. We just got desert and a few drinks and everything was amazing! Great service and great food. We had the chocolate martini and OMG it was good. I also had a chocolate mint mojito and it was great too. Very fresh ingredients! We will be back.

Cute little place with privacy and a hideaway feeling in their outdoor seating. Creative and pretty presentation of drinks and dishes. Chocolate nuances everywhere, even in their cocktails. If you like chocolate, then obviously...

Yuuuuuum!!! Talk about a naughty dinner! We had the artichoke cheese dip which comes with amazing fresh bread and no skimping on the artichoke hearts. Then we had the rolled cheese dish with a salad, also very rich but the salad was a good call with the dish; I wouldn’t recommend the same dish but labeled “for two”… I think I would have been all dairy’d out after that. The salad is a must. For desert we had the rose truffle which had delicious white chocolate and a very strong rose flavor. I love rose but its not something I would get twice. We also got the banana cream which was surprisingly light and airy and had an interesting texture but yummy crust. And ofc we had to get a hot chocolate. They call it hot chocolate but I think its closer to a drinking chocolate imo. I went for the sofia and it was a perfect complement to the entire night! Most people get the hot chocolates for desert but I sipped mine throughout and I thought it went well with our cheesy meal. Will definitely be going back and trying more of the deserts and drinks! The patio had a nice homey vibe and the host was really friendly and welcoming. Love this place and can’t wait to get back!

This little place has a big menu! My family and I came here to enjoy a nice evening and we were very pleased. David was our server and he did a great job. We had the mole trio and fettuccine bolognese. Soooooo good. Also had some passion fruit margaritas. Omg.yum. the atmosphere, food and service was the best. Definitely recommend. And they have such a great dessert menu! Your bound to order one of em. You won't be disappointed!

Pros: The atmosphere on the porch is really lovely. Quiet (because it's on a walking-only street) and cozily surrounded by plants, but open enough that you can watch people stroll by. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. My first cocktail, a lime margarita, was too tart (and I love sour things!) but the special "Chocolate Mint Mojito" was a fizzy, chocolatey delight. I think the bartender even used real cocoa powder, based on the crunchy silt at the bottom (which I don't think I was supposed to drink, but I used to make myself chocolate milk with sugar and cocoa powder and the grit was nostalgic). Cons: The food is merely fine. I had the shrimp and asparagus. It all tasted fresh, it was just on the bland side.

We tried 2 different cocktails, (loved the warm Caramel Bourbon) 2 different appetizers (loved the peas), 3 different entrees (all were excellent) and 2 different deserts...both with chocolate 😊
