I think its a great place for adults, but there is no menu for children plus no reasonable cost for children.
We were very pleased with all aspects of our dining experience. Our server, Yuong was so pleasant and efficient. I was extremely impressed with the food and the chefs did a great job at satisfying every tastebud. The atmosphere was inviting and clean. I may have just found my favorite restaurant and I’m looking forward to my next visit. You’re all doing an excellent job! Thank You so much!
This is my favorite places for Sushi 🍣! The Chili poppers are amazing. Service is great and the staff is very knowledgeable. Always have great food and fun when we eat here.

Sometimes, the best places are found just by dropping in. The sushi is very good and had some different flavors I haven't had before. The nigiri had big portions of fish and light on the rice, just the way I like it. Service was good as well and it made for a pleasant evening out.
My favorite sushi. I used to work in the office above Shogun, and have eaten there scores of times. They consistently serve up some of the largest & best cuts of fish, and I've never been disappointed.

Fabulous Japanese cuisine and sushi. We had several rolls that were specific to this location and they were all fantastic! The Gilroy roll had a slow spiciness/heat that built up and lingered...it was excellent. The quality of the sushi was also top notch. There were so many items on the VERY expansive menu that would need multiple visits to try everything; and wouldn't mind that effort. :) Would go back!
Miso soup was great, not too salty. Shogun poppers were excellent, jalapeño with salmon, spicy mayo, sriracha, and cream cheese. Donkatsu was also good with huge amounts.
I had the tuna roll and the salmon roll. They stuffed a lot of fish in the roll, more than most places. It was fresh and well priced. Service was friendly and attentive. Minus one star for being sloppily rolled, it didn't stay together and fell apart.

It's always iffy to find a good sushi place when you're on vacation. My family eats a lot of Japanese food at home, and we found Shogun to be a lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was friendly and personable, and the prices were good for the amount of food we got. Whenever I'm in Santa Cruz and want sushi, Shogun will be the place I go!

The food was good and large portions. We ordered a salmon collar. It was like a whole serving of salmon. I ordered the sashimi mix with hamachi and sake salmon. The presentation was beautiful. The slices were generous portions. A great deal for that much sushi. We sat outside. They have heat lamps. I would go back again.
