I cannot express how delighted my self, my tummy, and my taste buds were after a very satisfying meal here. We loved it so much that we couldn't think of leaving without dessert.

Delicious food, gado gado and sumac spuds, interesting sauces, great cozy atmosphere. This is the real Santa Cruz, great people with great hearts own it. Staff is friendly. India Joze has existed since I was a kid - the owner Joe would bring our whole elementary school class down to the restaurant to taste test the kids' menu.

Indi Joze is a very special and amazing experience for the taste buds. The original owner is back there cooking everything from scratch. Make sure you get there early enough to indulge in the five different chutneys— house made— because they run out by the end of the night they’re so amazing. You’ve never been to a restaurant like this one before. The flavor combinations and the artistry in the kitchen are right there. Just go in and order a bunch of things. The prices are really reasonable for what you get. You won’t forget this place and you’ll want to go back over and over.

Ordered food on their website (and paid for it) and were told the pick up time was 1 hour 10 minutes from ordering. What they won't tell you however is that they don't start cooking until guests arrive. So having waited for more than an hour we learned on arrival that "it will be another 30 minutes, that's how it is here". We were too hungry and annoyed to stay any longer. A $70 dollars mistake we are not making again.

Joe prepared a wonderful meal for me and my girlfriend when I passed through Santa Cruz a couple of weeks ago. The fish baked on banana leaf melted in my mouth (Ca Nuong). I enjoyed a wine marinated tri tip dish and all the sauces and chutneys. The flat bread was perfect for melding the many flavors together. It was the best meal, by far, on my 12 day roadtrip through California.
