Best Denny's I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few! Best service, best food, best restaurant! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! We highly recommend this place!

Nice little location a short walk away from where we were staying, the service was excellent, our server was super polite and nice. Only critique is I had my steak cooked medium, but it was fully brown in the middle.
Still really good and surprisingly tender, but do wish it has been cooked properly to how I requested!

Stopped by to have breakfast on our way to San Francisco. Our server Monique was great! Very attentive and polite. However the store manager Martha was very rude and disrespectful to her employees. I was sitting right by the kitchen so I was able to hear everything she would say as she was standing outside the kitchen window giving orders. She was talking down to one of her employees regarding him not taking his break. She told him that any order she gave him had to be followed. She was scolding him as if he were her son. As the manager she’s correct, but you don’t talk down to your employees especially in front of customers.
She needs to be spoken to because it gives the restaurant a very hostile environment. I will not return here and support her sales. The district manager needs to get involved and open an investigation because the employees definitely have a voice. This lady can’t continue mistreating the employees.

I came here weeks ago and I sat my family and I at our usual spot (they never had hosts before; so I missed the new 'Please wait to be seated' sign), and proceeded to sit there for 45 minutes, and was never even offered the initial drink. I would have gotten a waiter myself, but heard one of the managers tell one of their employees to come to our table 3 times, so we kept waiting. There was only one other table, which looked as though they were being served OK.
I tried them once more, but got attitude by waitress and freezing cold food.
Still give it 2 stars because they might be able to redeem themselves, they used to be very good.

Read the reviews. There are so many bad ones for a reason. The ownership and upper management here absolutely do not care about the customer. I should know, I managed this restaurant. It could be amazing if the owners invested into it but they never have and I doubt they ever will. I was told to seat people indoors during the height of Covid, I dealt with roof leaks and black mold and cockroaches…. I guarantee all of these issues still exist because they were never taken seriously. I could write a book there’s so much wrong with this site… It’s not the homeless poor who make this restaurant horrid, it’s the money hoarders at the top of the food chain who refuse to treat their employees or their property with respect. 7 out of 10 times you come here, you’ll regret it

The worst Denny's meal I've eaten, inside the U.S. I'll give the one in Tokyo a pass.
I've eaten at Denny's all over because it's so consistent.
I ordered the Ultimate Omelet with Wheat Toast. The Omelet not "Ultimate" it was dry and barely edible. The Hashbrowns were overcooked, hard, dry and inedible. The wheat toast was delivered white and she dropped them turned around and walked away before I could say anything.
My daughter's scrambled eggs were terrible tasting and dry. Her Bacon was overcooked and her Sausage was inedible.
My wife's Cobb Salad was surprisingly well prepared.
I still paid $56 for the experience and left wanting.

An amazing Dennys. The pancakes were big and fluffy. The eggs were cooked to perfection . And our waiter Ian was very attentive and so helpful. Ask for Ian! . I will definitely come back here again. Great experience!

I've eaten at Denny's safely before with no consequences. We had Denny's this morning and since afternoon I have been on the toilet praying to God about all the things I promise Ill stop doing(Denny's is now one of them) to end this misery. I'm also quite confused because more "after Denny's" is coming out than what I ate. Pretty sure got food poisoning from this, when I'm done I'll ask my toilet it's opinion.

Without a doubt the single WORST restaurant experience I've ever had. We were ignored for the first 10 minutes after waiting for 30 minutes for a table, finally brought us coffee with no spoon to stir it. Brought a spoon when the coffee was cold. Waited an hour for our food, orders were wrong, pancakes (but not everyone's pancakes) were cold with no butter, the kitchen ran out of sausage, bacon was undercooked, water glasses were dirty, someone "took" my kid's sandwich so she had to wait even longer for her food, then they brought the rest of the pancakes after everyone was finished eating! UNBELIEVABLE! Never again.

We hit this place for dinner before we hit the road back home so we needed some energy after walking all day on the Boardwalk � . . . We went about 7pm or so and it was not busy and the service was great!! Didn’t have to ask for any refills or anything!! He was top of it!! Every time the glass was near empty he was there with another one!! My husband got the all you can eat pancakes � and he enjoyed them!! The waiter was there when he was just about finishing his first batch and asked if he wanted more and of course he got another batch lol � everyone was really nice and the food was ready really quick!! Think I’ll stop here on the way home from Santa Cruz from now on!

My friend and I went to eat there for breakfast and it sucked. We got our seats very fast but our service was horrible. Our food took forever to make and I told them I didn't want hash browns... they gave me hash browns... most of my food came back cold. Our waitress didn't come back to see how we were doing and no refills. Went to the bathroom and it was nasty with no toilet paper and no garbage can to put the toilet seat covers in because that was our toilet paper.. a lot of people threw it on the ground by the side of the toilet.... I'm never coming back here again. Lesson learned.

On vacation stopped by for breakfast, dad ordered all you can eat pancakes, never was asked if he wanted more. I had the chicken fried steak skillet asked for no peppers or onions, they added mushrooms that were not listed on the menu. Waitress never asked how was the food, never asked to refill drinks. VERY BAD service. Did not leave tip for such bad service, very disappointed in Dennys.

Horrible horrible horrible. My eggs were cold the waitress was awful, the bathroom was a mess looked worse than my kids bedroom. The waitress argued with me about something that the menu said in plain black and white but I was wrong, we'll you should learn some people skills and maybe next time you might get a tip.

Waitress or cook got almost all our orders wrong, eggs came back wrong, forgot to bring extra sides we ordered, food was cold, food took 45 mins to come out, she came back once to check on us the hour and a half we were there, they weren’t really busy either. I’d give it 0 if I could

Our service was OK, The bathroom was OK, the food was OK but what stood out most was the loonie bin guy who paced back and forth being very animated through the windows, until he burst in the front door and threw something at the waiter. No one ever found what it was, but I saw it. The waiter had to yell at him to leave and he had to call the security guard from the parking lot. Weird experience but OK food.

This place is Awful!! Do not go here! Party of 7, they told us, it was going to be 30 minutes because they are short handed, but we saw staff in there. We asked if we could just be seated in the empty restaurant for coffee & drinks, they looked at us like we were Aliens & they were irritated. 2nd bad experience, we will never go here again!!�������

Food was good. Facilities looked clean. Service was poor. I've never had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table at a Denny's before. And the restaurant was not full at 10:00AM on a Friday. Either understaffed or poorly managed. Or maybe this is just Santa Cruz laid back?

This was the most discussing Denny's I've ever been to. the floor and restrooms were filthy, no toliet papers hasn't been cleaned in months looked like...we arrived at 6 am,only one other guest so this place should of been spotless...very disappointed with Denny's for allowing one of their establishments to be so filthy. Won't ever be back to this location ever...

Denny's is Denny's but this place is a joke. Dirty as hell. Staff rude old tweekers. restrooms a joke. And out of half of the menu. Stopped here after a day at the boardwalk. #NEVERAGAIN.
