The best place for crawfish in the area! We have had nothing but excellent spicy crawfish and the best customer service! The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Love it!

It is nice size, perfect spice level, juicy, good texture, great environment and awesome flavor! We are from La Porte and have to say it is well worth the drive. We will be back again!
Great atmosphere and awesome crawfish. And this is from a South Louisiana girl who has eaten crawfish her entire life. Love this place. You are the only place I will get boiled crawfish. Seasoning is spot on.

The best place in my opinion for crawfish, we drive up to Santa Fe at least once a week, sometimes twice. Clean and the staff there is awesome. Favorite waitress are Aubree & Marley. Was pretty neat yesterday bc we hadn’t had Aubree since a few months and she remembered the husbands name. That really stuck out yesterday! Worth the 45 min drive!
Our lunch was very enjoyable in this unique "garage" restaurant. The crawfish were delicious... the gumbo with rice was great and so was the service. Definitely recommend Pook's Crawfish Hole.
First place in Texas that I had crawfish I didn’t want to throw away! I come from Louisiana and have had a terrible experience with crawfish until my boyfriend took me to Pooks. Couldn’t be happier than I am to have found this gem!

This is a seasonal restaurant open when crawfish are available. Alcohol is not served, but customers are welcome to bring their own and a local liquor store will deliver to this restaurant for $10. Plastic cups are available for those bringing their own alcohol. Outside soft drinks and food are not permitted. Air conditioned indoor seating and shaded outdoor seating are available. Outside seating can be quite dusty, as gravel parking areas surround the restaurant.
Dine-in menu is on-line now, with a barcode at each table to be scanned with your smart phone
No green food is served here.
Everything we tasted had no apparent seasoning, but melted butter, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and seasoned salt are available.
Crawdads are sold by the pound, but very little of each can eaten, so one person can easily eat several pounds.
The boiled crawfish and shrimp were thoroughly cooked. The fried items, including Boudin Balls (like 1 inch, rice based croquettes), hush puppies, shrimp, and catfish where all most with dry, crisp exteriors. The French fries were limp and heavy.
My wife asked our server how she ate crawfish and our server cheerfully dismantled one for her, talking my wife through the process. Service was quick, cheerful, and very patient.
The crawfish were very very good. Spicy but not just hot. The price (6.99/lb) was a super awesome value for such good crawfish. Boudin balls were tasty and not over fried. Wish we had brought beer, but we'll be back
Crawfish were great, boiled shrimp easy peel, French fries, boiled potatoes, corn on the cob although corn was not that great it's those frozen in a bag so they were a bit mooshy, service was good, it's a BYOB they sell soft drinks there. One suggestion limes and maybe some spicy seasoning on shrimp like the crawfish that would have made shrimp great not just good.
The crawfish and shrimp is always so flavorful. I really enjoyed it.. and ain't nothing like a BYOB... our waitress was super nice as well...

If you're looking for authentic Louisiana crawfish then look no further than Pooks! Crawfish and crawfish pies are always amazing! Waitress was great, atmosphere is awesome, and BYOB!
Nice place good atmosphere, crawfish are delicious, and friendly employees. They need to work on there fried fish.
Flavor always great! If it's busy you may have a good little wait & the whole party will need to be there before being seated. I go every year and they never disappoint! Kid friendly and BYOB!
Crawfish were amazing. It is BYOB also loved they have crawfish sauce is what I call it.
We've been to three or four crawfish places around South Texas and this is the best! The waitress took her time and explained preparation and some of the cultural aspects of crawdads, Texas style while my wife and I made a mess with 5 lb of extra large crawdads 🙂.
I left trying to work out the logistics of hauling a large amount of crawdads back to Michigan....
Over-all great. The crawfish had a good flavor, service was good. Our food didn't come out all at once though, had to wait for boiled shrimp, like they didn't cook it/ forgot....So there's that. Aubrey was a great waitress. Checked on us enough but not too much.
10 out of 10! The perfect spice and flavor, super sweet staff, and BYOB. Can't wait to go back!
Great staff. Excellent food. I know that people mostly come here for the crawfish that are outstanding. A little secret the shrimp is too. I wish I could give 6 stars now that they have sweet tea.
